Tell us what you think about the CF driveshaft. I think I want one. I've heard they make a noticable difference in how the car feels.

Will do! It's got to make a bit of a difference in response being that it's 12 lbs. vs the stock at like 28 lbs..The big thing is the dampening of the shock load when launching and then eliminating the center carrier and the associated torque and NHV!

it makes a noticable difference, just hard to say if its worth 750-1200 bucks, my acpt I got from forman was 700, & have had the chance to sell, its hard to say exactly how much it did, shifts a little smoother, makes a slight vibration at around 70mph, the car slows down a little faster when you let off instead of coasting a little more with the oem, rotating mass being so much lighter tho, you should expect that just like swapping to almost half as light wheels, it should help a good amount, and the more power you make the more it should technically help, my input in the few years I've had my cf d.s.

Thanks for the feedback Irv on your experience with a carbon ds. My hope is for better response and a little less shock to the drive train and maybe a little less NVH!

I looked at that log and the VD graph a little closer and realized I was off a bit with my quick calculation. I decided to VD graph just the 50-100 mph portion of the log based on my MFactory gear calculations for speed/ rpm's/ gear's.

Here is my 50-100 mph time based on this 3rd gear log. Should I post these results in the 50-100 thread?

nice! by the way use 4-6 smoothing for more realistic results.

Thannks Juan! I just use enough smoothing to make the graph look good. What realistic about VD anyway?

VD= virtual dyno!

WTH, I just went ahead and posted these results in the 50-100 thread!

Yeah it holds pretty well out to 7600 or so. I'll bet it will hurt some feelings and maybe I can do some of that at the track!

I won't be able to do that on the street but we're not supposed to talk about that! I got a note from my insurance company the other day. I have way too many points and unfortunately they are gonna put it to me

I got 3 tickets in the last year and only one with my XTI. The other 2 were one in my Tundra and I got one in a Chevy Cruz rental car In UT heading from Rigway CO back to SLC going over Soldier Summit.

The one I did get in my XTI, I'll blame on Junior....haha! I was heading home to N MI from PnL last summer after Junior tuned my VF build on E85. I was heading thru Grand Rapids MI about 11:30 that night. I came out of the ramp from I196 E onto M131 N, all interstate and 70 mph. I came off the ramp about 70 and this suburban plasters itself on my bumper, it was dark....so what did I do? Yep I gave er......good. After I left him not knowing he was a state trooper, I went around this semi, got in the right lane and slowed to 70, there he was again on my azz, I'm like WFT?? 105 in a 70......frickin ouch! 4 points ouch!!

NO laughing on his part at all!! He was PISSED, I think I hurt his feelings.....haha, I can laugh now!

There's more....I was wearing my scrip sunglasses earlier in the day and had my regular glasses in my pocket of my shorts. I left PnL and was heading home, sun going down. So I went to swap sunglasses for regular glasses and found the arm broken so I could not wear them at all. Now I only have dark sunglasses and it's dark. He comes up to my window pissed and disgustedly tells me to take off my sunglasses....but officer.......whatever, he wasn't having any of it!!

The XTI was a fugging rocket after Jr's tune of the VF48 with the KBHH and MVR gate. It made 440 WTQ by 3100! I'm not even sure how he clocked me, the Valentine never went off and he sure as hell couldn't pace me, he's lucky I waited for him. hahaha I think it was his best guess at my speed!

I have 0 points and I'm no saint by any means when it comes to being fully law abiding. Valentine one is a god send. Bought it 13 years ago when I was 17 and its never failed me. I did have a cop pull me over after I just had my meth kit installed and I let her rip once down a back road. He didn't clock me but knew I was flying. He asked what the hell I was doing and I was honest and said seeing how quickly this thing moves now after my meth kit install. Turns out he has a stage 4 bugeye and goes "well how was it". Lol. I said "apparently much faster than I shoulda been going. He gave me a ticket for no front plate and sent me on my way. Coolest cop ever.

I'll say!! I'm glad some one has good luck with cops! The cops around Michigan for the most part probably hate fast imports, then you've got a joker like me with frickin Forester! Maybe this wasn't such a good idea? I'm really not out to hurt anyone's feelings especially a cop's!

I've got to be mellow driving, I just can't afford it! Another reason why I need to swap in my pump gas map, then I'll only have 460 WHP.....wait that won't work! I've got it, I'll flash in the LWGDC map that Junior made me for when friends drive my car....haha that might help!
