Whenever I see some stupid car with a giant wing bolted on, I wonder whether: a) they are completely oblivious to all the mockery, b) they know people make fun of their car, but they just don't care, or c) they did it for a joke.

You forgot...

D.) everyone needs as much down force as possible on a DD.

Never know when you need to make a last moment split second hard turn into McDonalds or something @ blistering speeds of 30+

They need as much downforce in the back as possible so they don't oversteer off the road.

You might notice it during a road race or autoX, but as far as just street driving you prob wont notice a difference unless you drive very aggressively. (In which case you prob aren't obeying speed limits)

I noticed no difference going from STi wing to wingless. Not sure if that wing even matters much anyways.

I read on here that you can tell the difference (mainly around corners) at 70mph+. Not sure if it's true. I never noticed the difference.

I've noticed at about 100mph the rear end sits hard with the OEM spoiler on an 06 STi. But, at those speeds your asking for a trip to jail or a grave, if you're not at the track.

You missed the part where I noticed a huge difference...and I mean on the road. There are lots of 45-55mph back roads near my house where I noticed a difference without the wing and splitter..I wont even talk about off ramps or on-highway stability.

Its funny you mention that there may be a noticable difference in autocross, when autocross is slower than many country roads.

The APR GTC-200, while not 100% efficient, is a functional part. The splitter made a HUGE difference, even balancing out that wing.

Just making the car drivable for the winter.

Although..the goal is to be in a different car next year for track days. We'll see.

AutoX might be slower top speed than some country roads, but lets be serious, you dont drive on county roads the same way you do in an autox... unless you drive like a dick.

The only difference I noticed when I ditched my scoop and wing, was a jump in mpg. I picked up like 2-3 mpg when I took them off...it was wild.

You might only have room to zip tie them to the spokes like the kiddie noise makers

Those would go well with a stick-on sunroof.
