Auto headlight switch...
Do you think It would be possible to get that onto our cars (the non limited versions)? I'm talking about getting the Auto function for our headlights to turn on and off automatically.
I was intrigued by people installing cruise control on their cars when it wasn't installed from the factory. Also, my old car didn't have controllable intermittent wipers, but if you bought the right part and swapped it out it worked just fine. So my question is, do you think the non limited Imprezas have the ability to do this? It looks like the light sensor is already on the dash, just wondering if it's as simple as ordering the part and swapping it out for it to work.

If you can, it's going to be a lot more complicated. There's no light sensor in your car, the limiteds have a light sensor for ambient light by the defrost vent under the windshield.
I never liked auto lights, that's some extreme laziness right there. And I don't know of any car brands that turn the lights on when there's precipitation, which is legally required in most place. |

Not to mention Subaru's implementation of the auto lights is pretty terrible - have you ever seen a subie going under an underpass and their lights flashing on and off? They could have implemented it a lot better

The 12+ Impreza lights automatically turn off when key is pulled from ignition and turn on when key is inserted if lights are left turned on. Do the 15 WRX not do the same thing?

wrxlaunch... Do you know how these settings actually effect the lights turning on and off? I can't figure out if changing it to "High" causes the lights to come on earlier OR later... I need the lights to come on later (at dusk) and turn off earlier (at dawn). Thanks!

I asked the dealer about adding this when I purchased my Sport Premium. They told me it wasn't possible due to many factors.

I for one love the auto headlights on my Sport Premium. I like how it also automatically turns on the fogs/cornering lights when making left/right turns or tilting left/right so you can see the road a bit better at night.

High makes it more sensitive and turn on sooner than later. . .
