Is yours the one without the gigantic wing? I like that there are morons out there that think that just having a huge wing means fast. I personally don't MIND the big wing, but I much prefer not to have it - I like the more subtle wings of the RS and WRX. I also hate decklids, though, so...

His son has an STI, but he had to ask you if it was a Subaru? And then he was cocky enough to think he knew your car better than you?

Went to the store with my daughter and her boyfriend yesterday. We get out of the car and conversation goes like this.

Kid: Im glad your car doesn't have that big ugly wing.
me: :::growl:::
kid: what its ugly! you want that thing?
her bf : the wing is ugly. Pretty much everyone hates the wing but we all love everything the wing represents.

if that was your pic about your subaru, then fine, but notice the name of the thread, "Funniest phrases/questions you've heard about your Subie II"

went to the dealership about a turbo failure of some sort (gasket seal or something causing oil to pump like there's no tomorrow from the exhaust). They want me to sign a waiver that releases them of all liability on my after market parts so they can do warranty work. ROFL, I thought that was hilarious! "So you mean if you drop my $800 top mount intercooler and break it then you won't have to replace it?" "yeah, pretty much." Yeah right stealership... :P

Youre lucky they will give you that option... Some wont even look at a turbo problem if you have changed any portion of the turbo/IC system.

I don't know why so many people hate the wings. I know they have their reasons, but I love it. That is what the STI is known for.

Also...at least it's functional. Not like a kid throwing a 3' wing on their civic because they have an intake and want rear downforce on a FWD car. Plus they will never get to the speed where they see any benefits...just a bunch of drag

I can agree with you there... I don't hate the wing, but I prefer not to have it if I can - I like something that doesn't look as fast as it is (not the other way around). I guess it's better than the non-functional made-in-China glued-on hoodscoops on a lot of American cars.

-- STOP -- before anyone goes and bashes me and gets all "Merican" on me... I like American cars.. I just think that if it isn't actually functional, a hood scoop shouldn't be there.

"Laughs and says ok buddy you bet! Take care now"

Sounds like the old man said "cool story bro" in his own old person language.

Kid1: Hey man! Nice subaru, I havent seen anything like it.
Me: heh, thanks..it's kind of an oddball.
Kid2: Is it turbo!?
Me: No BUT...it is the largest boxer engine ever made!

Doesn't porche make a 3.8? And there is a 3.6 in the legacy... So, your 3.3 isn't the biggest.
