Default 2005 WRX 17" Wheel Options

I'm looking into getting a 2005 WRX Wagon. These are the new wheel options listed for the 2005 WRX on the recently updated subaru.com site. Any thoughts as to whether these options are worthwhile, or are aftermarket choices better?

17" 5-Spoke Pressure Cast Aluminum Wheel $1,350
17" 5-Spoke Pressure Cast Aluminum Wheel Set. Price includes complete set of four wheels. (17" wheels require Bridgestone Potenza RE011 size 215/45R-17 tire)

17" BBS Multi-Spoke Forged Aluminum Wheel $3,035
17" BBS Multi-Spoke Forged Aluminum Wheel Set. Price includes complete set of four wheels. (17" wheels require Bridgestone Potenza RE011 size 215/45R-17 tire)

There will also be a lot of 17" wheels off of the Legacy GT for sale.

personally I would say that for the looks they are way overpriced. I got myself 18" Prodrives with Nitto tires for $2000 including shipping, and they are great quality

I would agree.

For $2000-$2500 you can get a set of forged wheels from Prodrive, Volk, etc.

Cast wheels can be had for <$1000.

I have the "cheaper" Subaru 17in, they look quite good on a black 02 WRX. You can get comparable or better/cheaper aftermarket but these will "fit " perfectly without worrying about offset, centering etc etc

Does anyone have any pics of these wheels on a WRX? I've searched far and wide on multiple forums and haven't seen them.

I looked at Tire Rack's selection of BBS wheels and the RSR looks very similar. Are they the same?

Also, does the price listed on the SPT website take into consideration if you put these on at the dealer before you purchase the car? The price should be reduced if you replace the stock OEMs and don't get to keep them

I've got the Subaru 5-spokes, but got them used from someone else.

I like those rims alot. You see them referred to as the B4 wheels here.
I opted for the cheaper LGT wheels and like them.

while there are MANY cheaper 17in options, few are as sexy as the multispoke BBS.

You mean these?

I like the look of the LGT wheels more, but the STi wheels are wider, lighter, and stronger.
