Great looking piece, but $500 for an uncatted DP is too rich for my blood.

you know what? My 100 dolla ebay top mount intercooler works also. so... But, I took a ebay downpipe off my car and put this grimmspeed downpipe on, and the tone of my exhaust has changed. Its deeper and less raspy then before. My forester sounded like hammered dog **** before. Now it sounds like fresh dog ****. |

FWIW I contacted Matt at GS and asked about a catted version and a LGT version and they both are in the works.
And as I said ^ I will pay. American made and top quality for this guy. |

I just looked at the website and saw the price. I don't really care about the price either since my car is stock and up for sale, no need to put mods on it. And like I said, it looks great. I'm sure the craftsmanship is top notch, but $500 for some bent and welded pipes/flanges. No thanks.

I'm sure you could search through the forums or pm someone to get a better price. But when I first made that post I just clicked that little ad at the top of the page that took me to the GS Site and saw the price. |

So what's the actual price that they're asking for?
The only place I've seen this DP is in that group buy and they were asking $499 for it. So MSRP or not, that's what you're going to pay for it at this point. And for $500, you can buy 2 catless Invidia downpipes... IMO, they shouldn't have asked MSRP in a product kick off group buy. No one will pay that. |

With the work they put into it, I don't think the price is going to be under $400. If this downpipe sold for $200, then I'd buy it.

if it sold for 200, it would be mass produced by a machine in a foreign country and would not have the Grimmspeed Logo welded to the top of it.
