Where to learn how to tune your car
Does anyone know a good place to learn how to tune a car such as ecu's? If there isnt such a place is there any good resources on the web which could point me into learning this?

Learning to tune is more of a DIY thing...Picking up info here and there. A good way to learn is getting on a dyno, and trying it yourself, real hands on expieriance is the best...ask TurboXS, VIshnu etc.... how well they tuned when they first started off compared to how well they can tune now. Knowing theory is nice as a guide, but it sounds like a talent to me..something that you develope on your own.
As for classes and things like that, a good engineering degree would help out a lot. I think Shiv at Vishnu teaches some classes or holds seminars on tuning. Give them a call. Hell, Yoshio never really learned how to tune from classes (did he?) , he just worked on cars for a looooong time, learned a lot of thoery and one day decided to buy Techtom software: http://www.supras.com/~riemer/sonictech/techtom/http://www.supras.com/~riemer/sonictech/techtom/ |
