I have plenty of bikes for you to ride when you want to Sonny. Anytime you are ready.

I will be giving one of the Aprilias to my son this summer, so there will be room in the garage if you and Angela need a place to store them in heated space this winter.
My bike is F.I. its just a poor design. I had some plans fall through today so I manned-up and cleaned the fuel pump assembly myself(a good friend did it last time) which was tedious but went smooth. I now have throttle response and no more coughing/sputtering on acceleration. Feels good to do something like this for myself. Now I hope this weather is a preview for this summer!

Your welcome to the Raider if you like Sonny. It needs to be driven.

Sadly I'll be missing the Bike Blessing. Stuff happened at my job and looks like I'm working every saturday until we hire someone else and get them trained up. I originally had this saturday off.

I knew that. I was just relating to the experience.

I've had no issues with any of the fueling on my bikes…had a few electrical issues but those are resolved. Anyways….let's ride soon.

Sonny, I'm not sure what you do to winterize your bike but, you might try adding Sta-Bil Fuel Stabilizer in the winter. I run it in everything that gets winterized or summerized and I can't say enough good about the stuff. I have never ever had a carb fouled or injectors clogged.

I had an 11 year old snow thrower that would start flawlessly on the first pull every year even after sitting for 7-8 months. My lawnmower was the same way. My GoldWing - always fires off on the first stroke of starting even after sitting for an entire winter and I don't run it over the winter so it truly sits untouched under its cover.

That's the weird thing-I used sta-bil, always do. Maybe I should double the dosage? Maddeningly, Angela's carb'd bike, a Vulcan 800 never has any issues. I think its the mesh used in my bike's pump inlet. You should have seen the sludge that came out with the brake cleaner. Yuck. Mike, let's do ride soon-I'll be at the Three Barons Faire this Saturday and the next. Maybe after work sometime since now I'll be commuting on the bike primarily.

Bummer. I was hoping to get in a ride with you soon.

Was it being difficult to crank before you fried the starter? How many miles? We are talking about the Panigale right?

Just hit 600 miles for the season on my way to work today. I started riding to work on the sunny days when it was still about 26-28 degrees out, which really makes me appreciate this 80 degree weather!

If anyone makes it up to Fairbanks this summer, let me know and we can get together for a ride.

Pulled the Ducati out after washing the car when I noticed I have a fork seal leak

Looks like its time to schedule some maintenance work at The Motorcycle Shop. Needs the chain tightened, and an oil change for good measure anyways.

Try the ol' film strip trick to clear the seal leak. If you have some lying around.

Just raise the dust seal and run the strip between the fork tube and the seal to clear it out.

Unless you lost a good amount of oil, it should be fine after doing this.

Motion Pro also makes a tool for doing this.

Lol you guys aren't exactly helping the ol' Ducati stigma today.

And what blessing? Didn't know there were others after Anch & Palmer.

I think the anchorage one got cancelled due to bad weather. So they're re-hosting this Saturday.

I haven't had any issues with mine for the past 3 years. Put gas in it, and go. I change the oil out at the start of every riding season although I only put 1500 miles/year on it (hence 5500 miles on an 05). First minor problem in 3 years on an 8 year old bike. I see no problems with that.

lol i just noticed mine has developed a fork leak this week too. Ohlins seals to blame, not Ducati. Or I'm the blame, for abuse.

Rode the Raider to work today. Kinda weird. I felt more confident on it after spending the last year on the FZ8.

Its still for sale though. I don't need it.

That'd be a good bike for you Chano. I could see a laid back blaxican like you on it.

Its been on craigs list but no bites really. I should drop it off at Yamaha and have them sell it for me. Just haven't gotten around to doing that.

It would be the perfect bike for ya haha

Huge crash by Spainiard Marc Marquez in free practice 2 at Mugello circuit in Italy today.

He eventually got up and walk away from what could have easily been a fatal crash.

Search for more footage of this violent crash on the net. Mere inches and the result would have been splat. No more Marco.

He will line up for the race after qualifying tomorrow.

p.s. the crash was at 198 mph as they begin braking***8230;.he jumped off the bike at 173 mph to stay out of the wall.
