Buy something your local hobby shop carries even if you dont buy it there. Parts are a pita to mail order when you break ****.

Never heard of the company. It looks ok, though I wonder what they cheaped out on for that price. The remote looks kinda crappy. Personally I'd go with HPI or Traxxas or another big name.

I'd suggest a TC3 or RS4.

Yah honestly, go with something alot of people have around you. especially if you're inexperienced. Especially with nitro. You'll want their help to tune your car.

Honestly if you aren't already into nitro I'd suggest electric. The maintenance and effort level is way less. If you already are into nitro, then it may not be bad for $200. The main downside being lack of upgrades/availability of parts potentially.

I agree with Sorbee and suggest you try an electric before nitro, especially if you have never raced/had an RC before. While having a 55mph car sounds great, by the time it gets to that speed it will be all the way across an empty parking lot, and you'll hardly ever see that speed on the average hobby shop track.

The local RC shop near me does all sorts of races, and on the track the electrics pull similar times as the nitro's. Mechanically, I've had a lot less problems with my electrics and it's nice not having to pay $30/gallon for nitro every few weeks.

My suggestion would be to stick with what the other local guys are racing. A lack of replacement parts can really put you off, as can be seen by one of my nitro trucks laying around untouched for 4 years...

its says on the site that 80-90 percent of the parts can be hopped up with hpi and other brands... looks like they just stole the design from hpi...

Yes, they say it has 80-90% "compatiability" with HPI, Traxxas, etc. But lets say you are running it and it hits a car tire and a bulkhead or A-arm breaks. You can't go to a hobby shop and ask for an "HPI" bulkhead. Do they tell you what cars it works with?

Honestly for only a bit more cash you can get the real deal. Then you'll know that if you bust an A-arm or hinge pin, that you need one for a TC3 or an RS4. Check out www.towerhobbies.com . Its worth the little bit more cash.

If you're not doing any racing and want a pretty good quality nitro car, take a look at this Traxxas . I've had good experience with my Traxxas trucks and the easy-start system is excellent. Can be had for about $300 RTR at Tower, and I'm sure you can get one for less somewhere else online.

-Mark

PS: I'd still chose an electric over nitro, preferably an HPI or Associated, and putting them together is a lot more fun than a getting a ready built one. It is especially useful when troubleshooting/replacing parts.
