Default Not hitting target boost 2004 wrx stage 2

My 2004 wrx wont go above 12.8 psi. I have turned the wastegate arms 2 turns shorter. This allowed the boost to come on much faster it seemed but doesnt raise the max psi shown on my ap.

Should I do the 3/16th's mod next?

P.s. I've tightened all my hoses and checked for leaks. The only thing I havent tried is the HWG map.

HWG is use at your own risk so that kinda makes me do:

compressor to wastegate.

What maps are you using? I take you are using an ots map because you have mentioned target boost. What is your target boost? 16.5?

I would try the HWG, if you try it once and hit a fuel cut then its not for you. Generally speaking hiting a fuel cut once isnt going to blow your car up. It is a saftey feature afterall. You could start testing it out by going slowly with the throttle and watch the AP. Any OTS map has a use at your own risk principle to it. They are designed for the masses and there is always a risk no matter how minute ..

I'm using the ots 1.30 stage 2 93 octane map. I'll try the HWG map.

I know on my my WRX I went stage 2 and the shop doing the reflash notice i was only running 9psi of boost no matter what. The problem ended up being I was missing the resistor pill on the vacuum line. hope that helps some

Any.

I'll check to see if the restrictor pill is in there. I bought the car mechanically stage 2 with no tune, so I've just been trying to tune it, and no matter how tight my wastegate arm is (or WGDC tables), the boost doesn't change.

Be on the look out for exhaust leaks pre turbo. Also be sure to make sure you dont have the catted up pipe still. If you do, it can disintegrate(the cat material) at any point and take your turbo with it. It also keeps your EGTs high and prevents you from boosting to the higher PSIs

I had smoke tested for leaks, and that's all good. Previous owner said he just installed an STI uppipe.

I just went stage 1 in my wrx and only hitting 7 psi. Target is 13.5 so I called cobb and they told me to check my resistor pill. Looked at it and the hose was taped where it should be. Ordered a pill thinking it had to be missing since it was taped up. Ill find out Tuesday or Wednesday if it is that and ill let you know.
