Anyone tried the USDM TRD QuickShifter kit?
All the reviews seem to be insane for this?
Can it really be that good? A lot of people just shorten the handle without changing throw or anything and it just makes it take more effort to shift with no benefit, this is my worry. Anybody try this yet????

I really want to. It'll probably be one of my next purchases at the end of the month. Time to start bolting in all these little pieces I've been picking up all winter.

- Mach V Jet Black Reverse Lockout Billet
- TurnInConcept's Steering Rack Bushings - Sway Bars (2011 WRX 14mm Rear and haven't decided on front sway bar yet) - New Secret Calipers - New Secret Exhaust - Bilstein Coil Overs - GrimmSpeed Air Intake - Integrity Concepts Slim Sub Enclosure - Cleaning up the wiring for the side mirror LED turn signals - Subaru OEM Red Footwell Illumination Kit - Redline Goods Leather Shift Boot, e-Brake, A-Pillars and Gauge Hood - OEM European Floor Mats with Red Letters (lol "install") I keep forgetting about fog lights with yellow HID bulbs. I wanted the plastic projector housing ones from Nigel-JDMParts, but I think he stopped carrying those. I refuse to get glass housing ones because they won't last. Alaska makes sure of that. Anyways, the TRD Quick Shift Kit would be perfect because I love the stock height, but wouldn't mind... quicker shifts. |

It doesn't shorten the height. That's the larger appeal to me. Quote:

I keep thinking about it, but will probably just install the KB shifter I have laying around. KB shifter only drops the height by .375" which isn't much at all...and the more I think about the more I think that a small amount of lowering isn't bad.

After reading about this, I want one now. Not too expensive, factory part, and all positive reviews.

BAM! Read it, and weep. *tucks you in to sleep* It should be released soon. They've already designed it and it's getting molded right now. Also they're releasing some kind of bonus item with pre-orders, I believe, so it should be fun! |

OH! Muthaf... Well, it's soon enough that by the time I get around to installing everything I'll have it. Spring is SUPER close, but not here yet. I've got a busy month ahead of me in my personal life, so I'm thinking May 1st is when I'll get most everything done. That's when winter tires have to come off anyways.

I keep thinking about it... I just spent $300 on new front door speakers (Infinity, components) since I tore my MB Quart passenger side speaker and also got Euro BRZ floor mats with red stitching. Next I need summer tires (lightly used 225/40R18 Conti Extreme Contact DW) and THEN I'll look into this shift kit. I get paid next Tuesday, so I'll probably order it at that time.

A local has ordered one. I will get to drive it next month...so if you want feedback before then, you're not in luck.
