Default 03 wrx shocks on a 00 forester

I heard it was a direct bolt on than other people are telling me I have to do this and that to my car. What is the truth? I'm getting frustrated

I'm using 02-03 WRX sedan struts on my 02, no issues other than the bracket to hold the brake lines are different than the Forester struts. You'll need the WRX springs too though.

Sorry I actually meant i have the springs, and not the shocks i will be getting the shocks soon. But for now i have just the springs Someone told me putting the springs in alone will mess with my chamber, and mess with my struts and all sorts of things. Sorry for the miss understanding

The springs should go right in but they will destroy you stock struts because they are so much shorter than the Forester ones. Wait till you have the WRX struts as well, it's worth it.
