Is Heap going to do anything with the Cards this year? He's still on the board in my OT league.

I had Celek last year and I don't remember him getting much from kolb. That may not mean much.

Do you need a TE? who else is there?

Gah. Celek is a constant headache. Don't really need a TE... just contemplating. It's pretty much Heap, Gresham, and Ben Watson. Gresham is the best out of the group, but he has the worst QB- which leads me right back to my Lewis dilemma, and I'd rather have him.

I picked up Watson, should be pretty decent.

In the middle of my draft now. I got lucky- thought it was tomorrow night

1st pick each round

A Peterson
Philip Rivers
Vincent Jackson
Beanie Wells
Julio Jones

(I normally don't do the same team for my #1s at multiple positions, but I didnt like the comparables)
Having back to back picks suuuuuuuucks. i went for Jones early knowing he would be gone. 14 more rounds to go

Did a mock draft at the 12 spot since I hadn't done one there. Holy ****, this sucked. I was drafting this as a PPR league so here it goes:

1. LeSean McCoy (Phi - RB)
2. Calvin Johnson (Det - WR)
3. Mike Williams (TB - WR)
4. Dwayne Bowe (KC - WR)
5. Cedric Benson (Cin - RB)
6. Matthew Stafford (Det - QB)
7. BenJarvus Green-Ellis (NE - RB)
8. Peyton Manning (Ind - QB)
9. Lance Moore (NO - WR)
10. Aaron Hernandez (NE - TE)
11. San Diego (SD - DEF)
12. Rob Bironas (Ten - K)
13. Denarius Moore (Oak - WR)
14. Visanthe Shiancoe (Min - TE)
15. Miami (Mia - DEF)

I quit picking after Hernandez. I went for the three receivers hoping Benson would be there late. The RB's on the board at the time of my 3/4 picks were Best/Tolbert/Wells/D. Williams/Ingram type backs. Williams is the only one that I thought about with that pick but I really don't think he'll do much either. So, I skipped in in hopes that Benson would be there and it worked. Figured the gap between those backs and the WR's I would have gotten would have been rough. So, opinions? I really hated this draft position, which means I'm probably going to get it tomorrow.

Oh, and don't pay attention to my bye weeks, I certainly didn't (all 3 RB's have week 7)

So by Garrard being kicked out, MJD's value increases (obviously). CBSSports has him as high as 3rd best. Hes gonna be run into the ground though with the work load.

This is gonna be a rough FF season for me.

I'm just giving you crap Mike. Being the only two Ohio fans on this forum, we should stick together. In all seriousness, the Brownies shouldn't be taken lightly. Sadly the Bengals aren't looking great, but if the Browns beat Sucksburgh and the Ravens once each, they will be competitive in the division. Each always falls asleep on CLE at least once, this time they really shouldn't.

I think it only decreases his value. No more 3-4 defenses.

I agree. At least he had someone to "help" before with Garrard being able to throw and run some himself. I hope someone takes him early in my money draft. Might drop Rice or someone down farther.

Also, the auction keeper league is shaping up VERY interesting as people are declaring their keepers.

I've tossed back Manning ($63) and Wayne ($43) yet kept McCoy ($1) and Amendola ($1).

Full keeper list:
Michael Vick ($9) - 2nd year
Jeremy Maclin ($15) - 3rd year
Mike Williams - TB ($10) - 2nd year
Ray Rice ($20) - 4th year
DeAngelo Williams ($18) - 4th year
Santonio Holmes ($30) - 3rd year
Danny Amendola ($1) - 2nd year
Colt McCoy ($1) - 2nd year

QB, QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, WR/RB, WR/TE, TE, K, DEF, 9x Bench.

Main reason I tossed back Wayne (I think he's worth the $43) is that AP got tossed back. $300 cap, I have $104 spent and will spend up to ~$130 on AP. SJax, Jahvid Best are among the top RBs after that. WR is meh for availability with Wayne probably being the best on the board. QBs are pretty deep. Brady ($96) got tossed back, as did Romo ($80) and Manning ($63). Bradford and some others will also be available.

Dynasty auction leagues are so dangerous.

In a PPR, not sure I like your receivers a whole lot. Bowe is my favorite, followed by Moore and then Lloyd. What is the points for yards after catch, or TD's between RB and WR?

Agreed. I like Kolb ALOT if you went heavy on all other positions first but Romo is the better choice for the season as your starter. When he's on fire, you can put him up with Brady points-wise, but the drawback is the random terrible game. I don't see the injury being an issue outside of his first sack. Once he has that out of the way he'll be back to his good ol' gunslinging wanna-be ways. I think he drafts slightly high but he could easily be worth it.

In Kolb's defense, the guy to me has a similar arm and Fitzgerald which adds 75 yards and a TD per game atleast. He's done well for only starting what, a single game with first team snaps in his career? He started another but Clay Matthews put him to sleep since the Eagles O-line is always turrible.

League sounds like fun. I need me an insanity league like that, but won't happen this year. Too many teams already

it's only 0.5 PPR and it's 6 pts for a thrown TD, so QB is pretty key. I picked Bowe at 2.9. He was the best WR available and I already had Brandon Lloyd locked up as a keeper. We only have to start 2 WRs so I thought that would be OK. I had a decision to make at 3.4 where I would normally have taken a 3rd quality WR, but Tom Brady was available, WRs were slim pickins and I pretty much had to snag Brady there

Yea, it depends on what is on the table and Brady is a very good QB. I've never played PPR leagues so I never thought about strategy outside of picking 2 good WR's and a QB.

You've never played PPR? Get in on a league! Seriously, depending on your projections, Arian Foster becomes more valuable than Adrian Peterson. Ray Rice gets locked in as a top 4 pick. Wes Welker becomes a top 12 WR. The dynamic changes soooo much.

It's fun. I love this league. Same guys for 12+ years. We made it a keeper league 4-5 years ago and that's been great. Nobody drafted in the first 4 rounds can be kept. If you choose to keep someone then he moves up a round from where he was drafted last year and counts as a pick there. You can keep for up to 4 years only, then they go back in the pool I had Greg Jennings for the past 4 years, I think I drafted him in the 11th initially, then kept him as a 10th, 9th, 8th, and 7th each following year. You can only keep 2 and only 1 from any position. That made finding the rookie or 2nd year studs with your late picks something to really work at. 3 Years ago we made it a 0.5 PPR which changes things yet again. I picked 4th this year and Arian Foster dropped to me and I about did backflips.

The keeper status is why I grabbed Cam Newton in the 14th as my backup QB. I hope he only plays one week for me (Brady's bye) this year, but just in case he shows promise, I can keep him for a 13th rounder next year.
