Best deal I could find. All the dealers around here wanted over msrp. I ended up getting mine for $500 under invoice. I drive to NJ all the time anyways for Devils games so it's really not a big deal. Plus I did everything over the phone so it's only one drive down to do paper work and get the car.

Hey guys,
I am getting ready to order a 13 SWP(yes another white STI) 4 door STI and I am trying to decide on the base vs the limited.

The nav option is defintely pretty cool but are you paying $888.00 just for that screen or does it really improve the overall audio experience?

From what I understand the stock audio pretty much sucks anyway in the STIs?

Is the underseat subwoofer worth getting?

Seems strange that Subaru cannot put a decent audio system in a car that stickers for 40k.

So I have until April 1st to order a 13 and I wonder how long the wait will be for the last batch of SWP 13 STIs? I guess July or probably August.

The audio in the nav is way better than stock. Get it. You won't be disappointed.

Another soldier in the SWP Army!

When I ordered my STI, I went with the NAV to dress up an otherwise drab interior. I believe that is does improve the quality of the stereo (if only a little).

I would pass on the factory sub. Just my opinion.

July sounds about right.

I just put in an order yesterday for a 2013 SWP STi Limited with nav, subwoofer, homelink mirror, SPT exhaust, and the carbon fiber accents (B-pillars, trunk trim).

Car was $36,700, with options close to $39,000. I think I got it for a steal.

Now the wait begins... but we're trying to source one that is already on the ground and paying for shipping to have it sent to the store. Worst case, if anyone knows of one available with those options (or close to those options) let me know and I'd be willing to fly out.

Day 1 of the wait and its already killing me
Thats a killer price with all those options. How far below invoice is that?

Alot of dealers are really going pretty far below invoice on the final orders for the 13s. The dealers must be getting some good factory incentives to sell these 13s?

Obviously their service departments make a killing after the sale.

The nav does look badass for sure. It has some eq options for audio but I have heard mixed things about it sound wise?

There is a dude on youtube who changed his home screen on the nav and it looks pretty sweet.

I got the kicker sub. Heard it was worth it because of the built in amp

Ordered 1/25, so 5 weeks in. Got an email from my dealer yesterday. No real news, still shows as a June delivery. Unlike some other people I've seen on here at least my dealer seems to be keeping an eye on the order, even if there aren't any actual updates.

Hopefully I get a VIN/ETA in the next few weeks!

If the nav option sounds anything like the "premium" sound system in other Impreza's it's probably laughable at best. My wife's car sounded like you were listening to music underwater.

I just love that Subaru uses a double din so you can tear out their junk and replace it with some really awesome equipment. I'll be gutting my sound system within the first week.

A good sound system can be pieced together for ~500$ without nav. That's sub, amp, head unit, wiring, components. Add another 200$ to that you can have nav as well.

And when I say good I mean it will blow any combination Subaru can put together out of the water.

+1 ^^^ THIS!!!!

I will be ripping out my factory head unit ASAP and putting in my Pioneer double din DVD unit. Eventually I'm going to be getting a Pioneer NAV unit but for the now the one I have will be better then the stock radio and better then the factory navi.

I just ordered from Clayton at Ramsey Subaru yesterday as well. Ordered a SWP WRX Sedan Limited. He did say that SWP limited typically takes the lonest, but didn't say anything about 5 months!!! He said it could take up to 14 weeks, but wasn't definite. Maybe STIs take a little longer than WRXs...at least I hope that's the case.

Yeah I ordered the same thing as you from Clayton except mines a hatch. He told me the same same except 13 weeks and that was a rough estimate.

This thread should be renamed to 2013 WRX/STI SWP Order Thread! Can't hate though, it is a beautiful color.

Yeah...I knew SWP was popular, but didn't know that every order was for SWP, lol. I just want the car by the end of June which is 4 months. Hopefully that's not asking too much.

I don't know what invoice is on one, I just know when the price was quoted I was like "holy crap, yes please." I was expecting to pay $42k-ish for it decked out with all the options, and getting it for $39k is a steal in my oppinion.

The dealer is going to call me on Monday to see if they can locate one that is at least a 2013 SWP Limited with Nav to have shipped over. Its an extra $500~$900 to ship it I'd guess, but to me that's worth saving a few weeks of waiting in my situation (currently no car). I can always do the exhaust/shortthrow/etc afterwards. Just need the car with nav so I don't have to fiddle with it.

Just saw 2 new STI sedans on a hauler near Berkeley (WRB and DGM). Maybe they are someone's here? There was also a silver BRZ and a black WRX sedan.

My car showed up finally (ordered 11/30), but they drilled the front bumper after I asked for them not to. They offered to fill and paint it ... WTF

I don't really see any option that would make it better, so I guess I get holes in my bumper. Really sucks to have a 10 year + 13 week wait end like this.

Dumb question but do they drill in the bumper for plates?

If so how do you hang the front plate without the holes?

I have noticed alot of people requesting no drilling on the bumper and also no wash and detail.

You would think that you could trust the dealer to wash and prep a car without messing it up.

I bought a Perrin license plate mount to hold it off the tow hook.
