I seem to remember reading a thread a couple months ago about upgrading plug wires to Magnecor or another aftermarket brand. I kinda remember people saying the stock ones are fine and you won't notice any difference with aftermarket ones.

Here's that thread. Hope that helps... I personally don't know that I could justify spending $100 or so on ignition wires.

They do absolutely nothing to improve the performance on my car. I just bought them from a crashed car at a good price. I would not spend the money to buy them new, although they are a well made product that makes the engine bay look a little better.

Before making uneducated statements about Magnacore wires not improving performance, read the thread posted by bigdweeb (in fact the one I started). When I reviewed the Magnacores I never stated they made peformance gains, just a bit of smooth refinement and must be insulated better or have better suppression if they clear up the static I had on my AM radio reception that was present even with the new OEM set I had installed first. Go to Magnacores website and look for yourself if you like. They actually say their wires don't give you performance gains, just less interference. IMHO the Magnacores will also last longer than the OEM as they are much better quality. Lastly use your own judgement. If you plan on keeping the car for a bit, you'll be replacing the wires a few times. The stock plugs were around $35 and the Magnacores were around $95. Like I said above, the Magnacores are buit not to deteriorate interally and should last longer than OEM if the silicone is not abused.

As stated above the only people who really benifit from this are people who care enough to spend $100 to clear up radio reception, sure they may last longer but no thanks!( not trying to come down on people who have purchused them I just don't think it's worth it)
