Default Old school electrical issue with alternator and instrument cluster.

So I 'm dealing with an '85 Wagon. The gauges in the cluster stopped working as did the alternator. The Haynes manual I bought today has a crappy wiring diagram, so it's pretty much useless.

Curious is any of y'all, yeah I used the word Y'ALL, have seen this issue, or dealt with it, or even repaired it in the past and could point me in the right direction.

Thanks,
Wayne

I see you started a new post for this.

Have you checked the fuses yet or the voltages on the wires to the alternator with the ignition on?

So far I've not found any blown fuses. As for the alternator I've checked voltage and gotten battery voltage. Like I'd mentioned earlier, the wiring diagram I have is pretty crappy, so I'm sort of poking around at it now. Any ideas where I can get a GOOD wiring diagram that shows the charging system AND instrument cluster wiring?
