Help, what turbo is this?
Didn't know what section to put this in but recently I got pretty much a free turbo from a friend. The cold side has 7f and TP and the hotside has 78-10820 with mitsubishi sign. The cold side where the id # is grinded off for some reason. Any ideas? He thought it was FP green.

Is this turbo worth keeping for when I want more power or is this one outdated since it has no coolant connections? How much can I sell this thing for anyways? It has no shaft play at all and looks like its in real good condition

Its probably a standard 20g w/td06 housing. How long has it been sitting? Has it been sitting like that with all the holes exposed? Does it have subaru flange pattern? Does it have any in/out shaft play? Does it spin freely?

Since October in a box though. Subaru flanges and with no play at all with the shaft.

oh ok, well maybe get some bigger injectors and install it then if you want to use it.. worst case scenario its broken and shoots a bunch of blowby into your intercooler or something. Best case scenario you got a free 20G or Green?? and your making 350whp..
edit: Didnt see you said it was an oil cool only turbo.. You can still use it, but your going to have to be diligent about changing your oil and turbo timing your car. Something you probably do already anyway.. |
