Default Porsche Hits toll booth at over 100MPH in Lake Forest

Pretty sad story. Guess a 18 y/o girl was driving a 911 and lost control and slammed into a toll booth..pretty stupid driving on her part, but sad nonetheless..warning...some real graphic pictures http://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=440412

No need, they are kicking themselves for the way they raised her and blaming themselves. As a parent I would be crushed. That's why my son is starting in autocross this year in a cart at age 12, knows that he is getting the wifes Outback as his first car and will get a cool car when he graduates college. We have discussed these things with him so he know ahead of time.

I saw a post regarding this on niketalk the other day. I was quite disturbed by the pictures, and angered that this girl's parents let her have a 911 of all things at that age. It's sad that she had to pay the price for being foolish. I'm sure most if not all of us have at one time or even regularly exceed 100mph. I got an exceeding 100mph ticket last year, and the punishment was steep. Deservingly so, because law enforcement is trying to prevent this type of tragedy. The $500 fine and 30 day suspension is nothing compared to what price this girl and her loved ones paid. RIP.

"This is from a fatal crash on the 241 toll road at Alton pkwy (Calif) on the afternoon of halloween.
The driver was an 18 year who took her father's brand new Porsche out for a spin without permission after getting drunk.
Two 9-1-1 calls came in about three mins. before she crashed. 1 was from her dad saying she just left the house w/ his car without permission - the other call was from a neighbor saying she peeled out at about 60+ around the corner in the neighborhood.
Within five miles from her house and a three minute time frame she managed to get the car on the 241 at well over 100 MPH where she ran into an unsuspecting driver in a Honda then into one of the toll booths."

Jesus... I guess the best thing you can say is that she probably didn't feel any pain upon impact, since it happened so fast. I've seen worse things in my time, but this is still very sad and sobering to see. Although I can't control the habits of others, this is why I never drive recklessly out there. I'm too aware of my own mortality to be that careless.

Just goes to show...don't drive mad and don't let your emotions get the best of you. After all, it takes a lot to just steal your dad's porsche in the first place...Everyone, be safe out there!

I don't believe there is anythin wrong with givin a young person a car like that so long as they drive responsibly obviously this one was very irresponsible...

<----says this cause i am 17 and i don't drive like a dumbass... and am sick of being judged by my age.
