****, that must have been Eric that had the toggle switch then. My switch works, but it's definitely not pretty.

I don't know who to suggest for an e-tuner.. I went with Ron at PhatBotti, but so far I'm very unimpressed. His emails are always short, he seems to gloss over details (one of which is my name, ha), and it seems very impersonal. For the amount I paid, I expected better customer communication. His grammar and spelling is very unprofessional.. I know that's nit-picky, but I have my own expectations for how a business should be run. We'll see how well his tune does... I'm expecting 300 at the wheels reliably.

Only time will tell though.

300. Stock components tune is 250, aftermarket stuff is 350. I argued that my stuff is stock, but he said "True, but not on your car it isn't." So we settled on 300.

Eric, was that switch a direct drop in, or did you have to modify one of the hole covers?

I modified one of the hole covers, just drilled a hole in it, it was pretty simple. and if i wanted to replace it the covers are pretty cheap.

Get ahold of Grant at Subie Guys. I needed a cam for my car and he was able to find one and overnight it to me (from Traverse City) for a great price.

Did LENGER Racing look at this one?

I have a pair of DOHC Ej25 heads.
Fresh surfaces / pressure tested / inspected/ new seals / reshim'ed to spec.
It would need to drill / tap for the turbo oil needs. Easy task.

EJ20 heads should be no prob to find if not.

Anyone have good luck getting Windows 7 to communicate with the AEM UEGO gauge, and the BFM Wideband Cable? My computer keeps failing the install. I really need to be able to get this thing up and going to continue with my tune.

Edit: After more reading, it looks like BFM supplied me with a Chinese cable. I've downloaded all sorts of drivers, and all of them list the same thing, which is what Prolific says will happen if you try to use their drivers with a Chinese cable. I think I'll be buying the cable you said you bought on RomRaider Rob, the one with the FTDI chipset. That blows.. BFM is horrible it seems. I won't ever recommend that company to anyone.

Just sent him an email. I also just ordered the cable that Rob said worked for him. It should be here mid-late next week.

The tactrix brand cable? that should work no problem, its too bad the cheap version didn't work for ya.

BTW here are the drivers etc that i am using with windows 7

FTDI drivers: 2.6.2.0
Romraider v0.5.3 Beta RC9
ECU Flash Version 1.41.2483

Everything has to run as admin and in win xp sp 3 compatibility mode.

Might not help but i thought i would let you know what i am running successfully.

Does the chip inside the cable say FTDI on it? mine does, and its a $12 vag com one.

No idea where the BRZ is, hopefully it's being assembled or even better on a RoRo Ship on it's way here. Just have to keep waiting.

I wish i could race next weekend but I am on Call. So I need to stay a bit more local to Kzoo.

Nope, the Tactrix works flawlessly. I'm having issues with the AEM UEGO logging cable, provided by BFM.

I've given up trying the VAG-COM cable, it's not worth it. The more experience I get with cheap chinese cables, the more I think that's the kind of VAG-COM I got, and that's why my cable doesn't work, yet everyone elses does.
