Post Local questions

Heya,

For some reason I have this weird desire to move to Hawaii next year for my Masters degree in HSU. So here are my questions.

Is it a good school? Anything special I need to know about it?

How much is rent in Honululu?

Is it true that I will have to have my dog in cuaranteen (sp?) for 6 months?

TIA,

Alex

Alex - University of Hawaii, I think your talking about is a fine school, football team sucks but I think thats besides the point.

The rent issue, for a 1 bedroom, 1 bath kitchen and living room you are looking anywhere from $500 to $2000 depending on your lifestyle. You can probably get a good 2 bedroom and 1.5 bath with full kitchen and a decent living room for about $1200. Here's another option, if you live about 20-30 minutes from Honolulu, you can probably rent a house with 3 bedrooms, 1.5 baths kitchen and a good sized living room for about $1200 per month.

I'm not sure about the quarentine issue.

If you need more info let me know, and I will help you.

Earl

Hi,
THis is Carrie, Tims wife. About the quarantine thing. So it has gone from 120 days to 30 days with all requirements filled. The normal stuff, current shots etc... But the cost for their stay has gone up from $275. too $775 to $800... You can get more info and get brochures if you check out State of Hawaii Animal Quarantine...
Tim adds- WRX-STI has been living with his mom to long. The cost of living in Hawaii ranks within the top three as most expensive place to live in the US... Sharing that honor with San Fran. and New York...
See Ya.
