Lightbulb STi/Defi Genome Triple Gauge Pod

I'm just curious as to whether or not anyone has any photos of an install of the item below:

I'm yet to see an actual installation and wouldn't mind getting in contact with someone who's done it or got one. I realise that these are just rebadged Defi gauges but wouldn't mind knowing what exactly comes in the triple gauge kit.

For those interested, you can purchase it here:

Gerrod

They look great but they cost too much. You can buy some really good aftermarket gauges for that price. They look good if you got the money, wish i did.

I think you'll find that if you add up the cost of the Defi pod, gauges and controller that it comes to a total which isn't that much cheaper than the STi set up... I figure you might aswell pay a little bit extra and get the real deal.

They are less than my Defi BF gauges.

Question Questions re: 3-pod genomes

1 - do they light red like US STi or the greenish from wrx '02-'03 ?

2- do they do the "sweep" start-up like STi?

Thanks!

1. Greenish (but the air con controls etc are all green still on the US STi anyway aren't they?)

2. Yes they do the sweep start

They're also tilted toward the driver.

I'd love a set that'd match the USDM STi!

P.S. what the heck does that Japanese car have hooked to the vents?

I don't think they are actually tilted towards the driver... afaik it's just the Defi pod that everyone else uses.

As for the vents... your guess is as good as mine.

No, it's definitely not the regular Defi pod. I despise that pod because it has massive humps that overhang gauges -- this set has smaller humps with almost no overhang.

As for the slant, look at the left side of the housing, then look at the right. See how on the right hand side the housing is cut back much deeper than the left? That's what allows the slant.

Hard to tell from the photo whether it'd be annoying on our cars.

It looks as though there is a slant in the first photo which I posted... but the photos posted below of the actual item fitted it would seem as though there's no slant at all.

You're right. They're different pods. I like the slanted one (with smaller humps)... a LHD version would be awesome.

You wouldn't happen to know if they optioned the actual Defi pod instead of the STi pod that I originally posted would you?

I'll assume there's supposed to be an "is" in that sentence somewhere.

I'm aware the gauges are... but it would appear that the pod in the top picture is different to the photos of the actual installation. (although this could just be the angle that the photo is taken on) I was curious as to whether this was an STi part or just the same old Defi pod.
