Is 1st gear Synchro linked to 4th synchro in anyway??
Not too long ago my tranny started grinding in fourth...(I already did all the research on oil and stuff) but it's started grinding after my girlfriend drove the car but she says she grinded it in 1st while downshifting??
So I was wondering if grinding first can affect 4th?? PS: please no comment about letting the GF drive...I'm whipped...and she's doing a great job paying me back!!

1st gear is located on the driven shaft and uses 1-2 shift fork on its own rail
4th is on the drive or "main" shaft and uses 3-4 fork on its own rail so they are not connented |
