It's got a bigger turbo! There is no way a VF30esque turbo is going to spool faster than a TD04. I don't care if you have twinscroll and AVCS a TD04 is gonna spool faster. Maybe if he had antilag.

There is a reason I drive around and shift at 4000 rpm now. Yes, I have AVCS on.

If its a well tuned VF30, it will still have more low end.
I have driven both, and seen dyno charts proving what I am saying.
Mumbles is hitting 20PSI by just past 3000RPM with a VF22 on his V7 motor.

And spooled pressure isnt what makes power. Its air. Airflow. CFM.
A VF30 at 7PSI is flowing as much air as a TD04 at 10PSI, and you can hit 7PSI by like 2400 if its set up right.

The More You Know™

I need to get tuned, I bet I have a lot of untapped potential in my car. I just assumed since my car was noticeably more laggy that there wasn't much helping it.

What boost pressure are you making by what RPM?

Is the exh housing ported?<<<< makes an easy 300rpm difference

To be honest I don't know, but my car feels dead before 3000 rpm, comes alive at 3500. The tune I have is just a kingpin reflash, where they retard the timing for octane. I'd get a real tune and port the exhaust housing, but I plan on a bigger turbo this summer so I'm not gonna bother.
