Well, just like Doctor Murdock2's ask for your votes to bring Top Scoob to New England, I'm asking for your support -- maybe we can bring it to New England again? (Doc Murdock is Top Scoob!!! Check out the front page: http://forums.nasioc.com/)

Voting has begun for the semi-finals, which closes on 11/07/09.

I'd find it an honor to even compete against some of those cars... but I'd love to see how far I can make it.

No, my Saabaru doesn't have all the possible go-fast bits, or an STI-swap. Hell, it may not even be the prettiest lookin' one. But it's my daily, I try to keep it clean, maintained and reliable, and many NESIC members have played a part in it:
- I purchased it from rabydanimal
- It was tuned by brenWRX
- Custom decals were cut by wit2003
- Various parts were purchased off of members of NESIC (e.g. wheels and mudflaps)

So in a way... me trying to compete in Top Scoob 017 is about NESIC coming together to win an internetz popularity contest... Erm... I mean... ... right! I don't believe there are other Saabaru's from New England competing, I could be wrong though.

Even if you don't vote (don't see why you wouldn't) or don't vote for me , I'll be happy for the publicity that Saabaru's get during the run of this Top Scoob.

Thanks... well, this is just the first round of voting, and as I've said, I'd love to even compete against the other cars.

I find it amusing that this is really just about getting votes and not necessarily the "best" car. A bone stock car could win if enough people voted for it...

I'm happy that Saabaru's are getting a little attention.

The semi-finals have started and voting for this round closes on 11/7. From the first elimination round, it was pretty clear that there were two top contenders (both STI-swapped...), and then me in a distant third.

I can't run on the "my car is fast because it's an STI-swap" platform.

I can't even run the "my car looks pretty darn sweet" platform (though, I do think it does look pretty sweet!).

But I can run the, [King Leonidas]THIS IS NESIC![/King Leonidas] platform... right? Put a vote in for me... supporting your regional forum - it's what makes Subaru a Saabaru... or something. Support a car that's probably like your car, i.e. at Stage 2, is your daily driver, puts a silly grin on your face, is a beast in the snow, suffered dings and bumps of the New England roads and drivers, etc.

Vote for me because at one point, I have met you via NESIC Classified Ads to purchase something.

One for the common man! I can dream, right? Sure, if I had buckets of money, I could have swapped in an STI engine and drivetrain... hell, why not wedge an H6 w/ a twin-turbo if money was no object? But hey, that's not me... and maybe, that's not you... and maybe secretly, you wish YOU could be Top Scoob with your "plain" car... and that's all I want... so... do it.
