After seeing your response and re-reading mine, let me clarify: I was not being critical, rather, wanting to see your turbos running through a stroked 205/7.

I'm a huge fan of the thread as well!

I understood your question, did not believe you were being critical at all. I try to stay out of here and read up.........especially since i went the opposite direction.

Kinda lame that this thread died... wonder where all the recent stroker builds are at!

I've had my build current setup completed for the past 3k miles or so and have been absolutely in love with it.

OEM 2010 STi Nitrited Crankshaft
Manley Forged H Beam Rods
Manley Forged Custom Pistons (92.5mm)
ARP Head Studs - ACL Race Bearings
2006 STi Cams - AVCS Plugged
Stock Heads just cleaned up
Steam Speed STX67 Turbo @ 25psi
8cm Hotside - STS 9 Blade Turbine Wheel - Billet Compressor
PTP Turbo Blanket
Kinugawa UEL Headers + Catless Up-pipe
Invidia DP + 3" Full Catless Exhaust
Five0 1400cc Injectors
Walbro 255
TGV Deletes
SPT Short Ram
Perrin Turbo Inlet
Process West TMIC
GrimmSpeed Crank Pulley
Gates Timing Belt Kit
Exedy Stg 1 HD Organic Clutch Setup
Handful of New OEM parts
Cobb EBCS
AEM 3.5 BAR MAP sensor - Cobb Adapter
AEM IAT sensor mounted in TMIC
Open Source Tuned for E85 - CarBerry - Speed Density

I had 1000cc injectors ans a stock MAP sensor and maxed both out @ 19psi for the first 2k miles or so aaaannnddd then I blew up my stock 5 speed; bye bye 2nd gear drive and driven gears. I'm now running a full 05 STi drivetrain w/ DCCDpro controller and an '03 JDM STi transmission with a 1.5 way front LSD.

I haven't had it on a real dyno but with as accurate number as I can provide RomRaider dyno and a good ole 'butt-dyno' and with this setup at 25psi, I'm around the 420whp and 399ft-lbs mark. If provoked for a response, I'll load up the parameters and the graph! Hopefully we see some more 2.1 stoker setups!

Cheers!

Post up a data log or an Airboy dyno. Want to see how this is doing as I have a STX67.

At 14 psi it makes 343 whp on pump gas - tuned by Scott Seigel on Forged Performance dyno. With the external Walbro 255 we ran out of fuel at this level. When I add a bigger fuel pump we will turn up the boost on the pump gas - est 410 hp and then tune on Sunoco 260 GT Plus race fuel - est 500hp.

So far we have 4 1/2 hour races and a test session with no engine problems. We did get hot - changed oil cooler setup and added ducting to solve that. Wastegate control tubes were melting off - added air cooling tubes. Air filter flange melted on turbo compressor, dropping filter on exhaust - remote mounted with short steel spacer and silicone coupler now, and a bracket to prevent filter from falling. Last race we looked at transaxle temps and saw them over 310 F so we added a trans cooler.

Our results are one 2nd place and three 1st place finishes, but I have to admit that weird circumstances led to these results. We are not yet first place worthy, but we are headed in the right direction.

Check out some action photos on the website www.CarmaCars.com - 6 photos in the slideshow on home page. Next race is at Road Atlanta, this Sat and Sun. Our class is NASA Pro Racing Super Unlimited (SU). Come visit us in the paddock!

I've been collecting parts for my 2.1 build for a while now. I've only gotten serious about it because I purchased a daily driver this past winter. The build will start sometime in October. I have talked with a few shops, and it looks like I'll have IAG build the shortblock and clean/adjust the heads. I'll do the rest. Not going to be anything special.

Nitrated crank
Manley pistons
Manley or stock rods
King bearings
850cc injectors
Blouch 16gxt
STi oil pan
KillerB pickup
Walbro pump
As much porting as I can do myself

That's about it. I'm not shooting for any particular HP. I realize that the 16g is on the small side for this kind of build. I already have it, which is nice, but my original plan is for a snappy drive. All of this is mated to a LGT 4.11 trans.

Torn between 6266 or 6466.

Had 6266 on a previous setup with built 2.5 on stock heads.

Great turbo, I don't see running anything smaller.

It would be great if you could post a graph of the 6466. What is your power band like, where do you see full boost?

I haven't seen a brand new spec C crank out of a Subaru dealer since about 2011. They have been superceded by the newer version. If you get a brand new one that part number, it's a cross drilled bugeye crank without check balls.

There is a noticeable difference in the amount of machine work, how well it balances out, and it had some type of heat treat that the new ones don't.

Default Newbie from down under

Hi guys I was hoping for a little feedback on what I'm looking at doing in the next few months.

I have a 99 GC8 wrx, currently sporting 240kw atw but that not enough. The engine finally decided to let go of a rod. Clearly badness came from that.

That that my other project is finished (r56 JCW mini fully forged sporting a GTX2867R) I would like to start playing with the rex. I have an old 2.0 CD block, it was a JDM legacy block which is in good condition. My question is, is it possible to get this block displacement to 2.7L reliably? Would I use Darton T sleeves etc. any advice is appreciated, I see you all have good numbers and experience here already
