no marks at all from the whole time I had it on, the only spot i had any rub was my drivers side rocker panel from my leg rubbing on it from getting in and out of the car. other then that amazingly the hood and bumper had no issues. after a while though it did get harder to get the black dip to come clean but it lasted a year and i loved it.

First off, I like it.

Secondly, I vote for wetsanding the headlights and re coating them with a 50/50 mix of mineral spirits and helsman spar urethane clear gloss.

Awesome work fella. Been toying with the idea of doing my wrx this colour and that's made my mind up to YES only problem is we get ripped off with the price of plasti-dip here and it's harder to get your hands on.

I love this color! Hopefully you can get the stuff to do it, that sucks about the pricing though but you should definitely do it and post pictures for sure!

I understand the fact that it could look better with nice wheels and coils but I actually dig the color and it looks like a well executed job. I've been thinking about painting my bike light blue but it would have to have a semi glossy or glossy clearcoat. Props to you OP for having the skills to do a good job. And all that matters is the fact that you like it.

Thank you! I appreciate that. If you do your bike they do make the glossifier that can be sprayed over the dip to make it look glossy. I still have YET to try this because I love flat colors but I may buy a gallon of glossifier just to do it on my rims and see how they turn out. Again, thank you!

Cool story bro. Sure he appreciates the bump.

I think the color is a little out there but still neat none the less. Why did you paint the antenna thing? I think it looks a little weird blue.

You posted this on a forum... you weren't expecting judgment?

People don't have to be narrow minded to see this doesn't look good... Yeah, I "get it", you can easily change your paint color... however... I think the combination of what you've done makes it look tacky.

I do like the color, but here's what I think could be done to make this look very tasteful:
-Paint the roof, take off the "carbon fiber" vinyl.
-Remove the plasti-dip from the wheels, windshield, and fog-lights.
-Remove the tint from the tail-lights and only lightly tint the turn-signal/reverse area.

It would look A LOT better.

Welcome to NASTYCOCK....

90% of the people hate it, mainly because they didn't do it first...

Give it a month and there'll be 50 painters tape blue Subies on here...

FWIW, I personally love it... It doesn't fit the NASTYCOCK "box"

It's pretty funny how expressing your individalizum somehow gets stuffed into this small little box here...

It's only cool if the RIGHT person thinks of it first and it only becomes "popular" if the right people LIKE it...

The funny thing about all of it is that A LOT of people love it and then there are people that do not love it. Either way it does not matter to me. I will continue to my car my way but I just know Nasioc is a wack ass site that people judge more then they appreciate. Its no loss to me. If you ever check out www.dipyourcar.com they have a forum on there and I have seen SOOO many light blue dipped cars now its not even funny. But its all good like I said. I dont even give the negativity the time of day that is why I do not even check on this post that often. Again thanks and your right about this site but it is what it is.

+1
All of our cars have to look like that "one variation" in order to get positive comments. If someone decides to go on a separate path to mod their car away from that one variation, it gets flooded with negative comments. I understand everyone has their own opinion but why cant people appreciate the work and time into doing a project like this.
