Default Soulless Restoration and Performance (SRP)

I know everyone has their opinions on what shop to go to and who to talk to for this and that, but this is my experience with Travis/SRP. Although he is not a big name shop and works out of a more "personal garage," I wouldn't want him confused with anyone else. Good customer service and a job done right are the things that I look for and the things I got. There are a few good places to get tuned here, here is a place we can add to the list

I saw the post on the SWIC Facebook page and decided to give em a call to check out what they had to offer. Travis and I spoke on what issues and goals I had for the car and what I wanted out of it. After a little pre-inspection of the car and look @ my current map, there was work to do. We spent about 4 hours going over stuff and I learned quite a bit during the whole tuning process. It got late so the car was left with a safe map to run until we could finalize it and I came back another day. The car ran a million times better with the just the improved map. On the second meeting we had, we did some more work and the car runs pretty ****ing good. I've been down here since 2010 and been tuned by multiple tuners due to the fact that I was not impressed by any of em. Travis actually explained to me issues that I had, how to fix them and they were corrected rather than just shutting off a CEL so it doesn't show. Coming from Washington State, there was a huge change from driving the car here and there. This is the best its ran since.

Thanks Travis, I look forward to doing an e-85 tune next time around.

Thanks for the kind words. Let me know if you have time to meet up before that canyon run meet. I want to give it a once-over before you take it out and beat it like a redheaded stepchild.

I am going to bump this read with another review for Soulless/Travis. When I first bought my wagon the guy I bought it from told me he had it tuned in Flag and that it had a vf39. Even the person who did my once over told me the turbo was a 39, then I took my car to Soulless (turned out no base tune and I had a VF22 lol). I saw his Facebook post as well as this other review and figured I would give him a call to see how we works, prices, etc. He was extremely open about everything and explained he wanted to do a once over, check out the current map, and we'd go from there. This Subaru is my first turbo'd car and I love it so I want to learn whatever I can while maintaining it. The entire time we were looking over the car and reading the map results, as well as when he was building a new map, he explained everything.
I understand we are spoiled in Phoenix when it comes to pro-tuners and I would never argue with someone whose better than who, but Travis is Soulless is the bees knees. After we got done tuning, he even helped and recharged my AC for me just for the heck of it. The guy loves to talk Subaru and is a wealth of information. I will be using him from now on to tune/work on my car and will not look back. We spent about 4 hours tuning, working on the car, and just talking Subaru. With my stock injectors we ended up running out of fuel while doing a pull, but with new map the car accelerates MUCH smoother and responds like a brand new car. I will vouch for Soulless/Travis everywhere I go now and if anyone is looking for a great tuner, great guy, and awesome mechanic, hit him up. Thanks again Travis!

I just wanted to bump this thread for anybody who is new to the area or is looking for a tuner.

I had Travis install injectors and a fuel pump on my '04 WRX this weekend. He tuned me for 91 and E-85 also. He is very professional, knowledgeable, and straightforward. I highly recommend Soulless Restoration.

Just don't go tuning with Travis Sunday nights in Gilbert... turns out GPD doesn't like 3rd pulls on surface streets. =(. No fault of Travis.

Seriously he supports well, especially after an initial tune.

Coyotesfan,

Thanks! Sorry about the ticket!
We need to get together and do some closed loop revisions, maybe letter this week. What's your schedule?

i'll gladly jump on this bandwagon

Travis is working on my car right now and I can totally vouch for his dedication to doing things the right way.
I've been sampling some of the local resources we have here in Phoenix and getting mixed results, some good .... some not so much

Travis and Soulless Restoration are high on my list of trusted local resources, call him, you'll be glad you did

Im not sure of the exact location since I'm new to the area but if you check out his Facebook page it will say. Plus if you give it a "like" you could win a free tune.

Not too long ago I saw someone in the legacy at 7/11! Love that thing, I used to have a white one on gold bbs. I'll make sure and say hello sometime!

The legacy died a horrible death, it now resides in New Mexico. The 335 was the replacement.
