Default Auxilary safeguards for oiling system on street car

I was one of the victims of Subaru's faulty cracked oil pickup in my 04 sti awhile back ago. So now my ej257 block is now redecked, bored and honed for proper p/w clearances for forged 100mm cp pistons, Manley TT I beam rods, acl race bearings, nitrided stock crank with an additional .001 clearance on the rod journals and an ATI harmonic dampener.

Heads were mildly ported under the seats with radius valve job, full supertech valve train, new valve seals, and BC 272 cams. It's currently on my engine stand for -8an fuel lines to be assembled with Aeromotive top feed fuel rails and FPR.

Power setup is a twinscroll setup using a divided T4 1.06 a/r gt3582r with dual 38mm mv-s Tial waste gates, Hydra 2.6 and latest version Hydramist direct port into each runner on a custom 2.5i manifold. I'm using the jdm 12mm oil pump, slightly modified but no added shims, to deal with the larger rod journal clearances.

Before I reinstall the block I wanted some added external safe guards to the oiling system, nothing like a dry sump though. First on the list was the KillerB pickup, which I bought the last version before the current one. Chris of KillerB is allowing me to exchange the older one to the newer one for future compatibility with KillerB oil pan. I'll also get his baffle. I plan to add an Accusump tied in with an oil cooler I bought.

I'm debating on just using the stock sti oil pan instead of the KillerB pan since it's a street car and don't autoX or road race. I'll still have the added oil capacity of the oil cooler and accusump, plus the KB baffle should help with the sloshing.

Any opinions on not using the KB oil pan? I'd rather use the money on the Accusump and a surge tank for my fuel setup.

Imo stock pan and upgraded pick up is all you need for a street car. Too much maintenance with an Accusump for a street car. I auto-x and road race all the time on the stock oil pan and see no oil pressure drops.

Cracked the oil feed/ avcs hard line. Ordered the P&L avcs kit.

I would agree with this, but then again this is a bit more than your typical street car

If you're not going to see corner loading like you would on track, I don't see any reason for pan, accusump or oil cooler. If this were going to see any track time I'd give my usual recommendation for monitoring oil temps and knowing you actually need an oil cooler before buying one... and if temps were marginally high I'd recommend the pan. If it were a dedicated track car... there's no substitute for an oil cooler.

Kit looks nice but with that heavy of a turbo you need a brace.

Yup, I run a 19 row setrab oil cooler with a mocal 180F thermostat. Keeps oil temps a lot cooler and thus gives me higher oil pressure for those long sessions. However, on the street, cruising on the highway for long periods of time, it can actually cool the oil too much - even with the thermostat. So I stick a piece of wood in front of the oil cooler covering 2/3's of it.

On a side note:
I actually am planning on also running the 05 2.5rs intake manifold on my build. How do you like it? Any issues?
