For whatever reason, on my BRZ, 30% front windows and 20% rear windows lookes more like 40% front windows and 30% rear windows. It's really light. With my WRX I had the exact same setup except for a 5% eyebrow. I'm positive that super dark eyebrow is what does it. I've driven in front of and next to cops for months now with no issues. With the 40% front windshield tint there's a noticeable reduction in glare from oncoming traffic's headlights that it's totally worth it to me.

I'll keep you posted if a cop thinks otherwise, but I did try to play it safe with this tint. My car's so low that everyone shines into it. My auto-dimming mirror should be here any day, so that will really help when driving around.

I do appreciate the concern, though. I just don't think cops are looking for Subaru coupes when it comes to troublemakers. Tinted sedans and hatches, though, seem to be a much different story.

I've only had 3 tint tickets now in the 10 years I've had my accord with tint on all windows (except windshield) and they are all about 35% I believe. Usually it's the front plate (lack of) that catches their eye but I've only had one ticket for that.

I dont know why but whenever i see a car with a tinted windshield its as if i instantly notice it.. ill always call it out too. "oh check out that bro!" unless its so little tint that its basically not there.

But i think theres just something about black cars that just seem to fall under the radar.
It's because it blends together that it's slightly less noticeable.

Dark Tint on White for example really pops because of the contrast. It also depends on what routes you take to get through town. Kyle for example kept running into the same officer because he patrols his work area.

You're going to have those that don't give a crap and those that get a chubby from each time they see someone with tint.

It's without a doubt though tinting your front window or having a dark brow is going to get you pulled quick.

Most of us go to CCA Motorsports on Arctic Road. Best work you'll find anywhere in town. Any minor imperfection you manage to find they'll fix it without hesitation.

Slightly more expensive than others but completely worth every penny. There's a reason why the Merc and BMW dealerships forward their clients to them for clear bra.

kayetealynn's BRZ.

I drove next to a Galaxy Blue BRZ on Debarr. He came out of the apartments near Carrs and Alkota Plumbing. I Chano'd him, but the pic came out REALLY bad. My camera had a hard time focusing through the side window tint...
