My wife got a 2012 Camry v6 and it included 2 years as well but that is only two oil changes as they recommend every 10,000 miles.

RexHunter, SubieLuvin & cbr600f3... thanks for the info guys. I'll definitely at least throw it on the table and see what they say. If not no biggie, doesn't hurt to ask.

Instead of the actual changes, I'll probably ask for them to throw in a few filters. Wouldn't hurt to get some stocked :-)

That's what I'm doing. The dealer I ordered from does the first oil change free but since they are 2 and 1/2 hours from me, I'm gonna see if they'll just give me a filter and the oil so I can do it myself.

Where'd you order from? My dealer told me 13 weeks...but it looks like it's actually gonna be more like 16-18!

You may want to contact SOA to confirm this would be okay if you are trying to stay under warranty. I know they have been sticklers in the past for motor related warranty work if you can't supply receipts for all the on time oil changes... Now if you having a receipt for the oil purchased for the vehicle will be good enough for that I am not sure. I've been meaning to call and ask. I'd prefer to change the oil myself to save a few bucks but if I need to take a shot in the shorts for changes to make sure the records stay clear in case something happens then I will.

And I say talk to SOA because they will be the ones demanding receipts if the time comes, not the dealer.

The Sold Order System for 2013 model years will be closed April 1st.

Anyone reading this who is contemplating waiting, you only have a couple days to get your orders in.

Yeah I will be confirming this first. What my plan is, is to keep very, very detailed records of all the services I preform. I used to be a Honda Tech so doing even major services is something I want to do myself. I'm going to keep all the receipts and take pics of said receipts next to the odometer in the car with a time stamp on the picture. Also take a picture with a time stamp of the receipt next to the VIN plate of the car just so 100% of my bases are covered if I ever need warranty repair. Of course I'm going to make sure this is OK with SOA first.

I was just going to see if they'd give me a few filters for free instead of the oil change.

Not sure about bigger dealerships, but does time submitted in the month make a difference? My dealer told me they put in an allocation monthly, so as long as I ordered towards the end of the month I was fine. Stated if I waited until the 1st, it would add 4 weeks to my order since the next allocation wasn't sent until the end of the month. Similar elsewhere?

Ordered Feb28th btw.

Their is always a possibility of it coming in sooner. On the flip side, their is always a chance of it coming in later if something gets screwed up.

If you order from the middle to end of the month, you normally get that immediate allocation for the following month. Follow me?

Typically dealers (I work for Honda) will order vehicles on the 1st and fill allocation to about 80% - 90%. They will leave room for the end. This is a general way it works and would probably be different for a Subaru dealer because there are more factory orders because of options available. Honda doesn't offer options to be added at factory/port so allocations are somewhat different.

The best bet is to order in the middle to middle end of the month. This way you get on allocation and your car in a timely manner.

What did you get on your vehicle? I was told by the inventory managers that more complicated orders take longer to fill i.e. more accessories. Also has to do with supply and demand. Their are a lot of orders for WRX's and STI's currently. Thank god the cutoff is 4/1/13.

I just spoke to a Subaru sales associate and was told that I'd have until "the next month or two." Is the order-closing date a dealer-by-dealer affair or does Subaru officially stop taking orders April 1st?

Even if they do, the 14 models will be exactly the same so no worries

The bumper cover was a huge turn off for me. To me it looks like the car has a rear mustache. But I like the color of yours as well!! Haha. And what's the security sensor, may I ask?

Default Ordered STI

Hey Guys & Gals,
I'm a newbie here and wanted to share a few things about my order.
Ordered my SWP 4 door on 16 Mar 2013 and they told me July. It hasn't been 2 weeks and I'm already very anxious. I'll probably be the only female in my area with an STI but thats something I'll be happy about. Here is an idea of what I ordered with mine. Any input is appreciated.

SPT exhaust
Homelink mirror and compass
10 in Sub
Short throw shifter

I thought most of the add on accessory's was over priced or easily put on in near future. I plan on purchasing Rally Armor mud flaps and Debadging when it arrives.
