Default fog light question/problem

i just swaped out the foglights on my MY99 with the fogs on my freinds totaled MY01 (mine where all pitted from road salt and whatnot his are nice and clean : ) the only problem is that no matter how i aim them the beams dont match like they did before, if you look a foot or so in front of the car on the ground youll see a cresent made be the light. on my car they will not match up evenly no matter what i do. aiming the light with the little screw to change the angle of the reflector does nothing, the beam doesnt even move. IF ANYONE KNOWS WHAT CAUSING THIS PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!! thanks in advance.

The other thing you can do is slightly unbolt the fogs and see which way you have to tip them to make them straight. When you find that out, put some washers between the plastic tab and the bumper cover as you put the bolts back in, so that the washers will foce the fogs to maintain the pattern you desire.

It may be possible that due to the impact from him totaling his car the metal reflectors are not lined up properly and cuasing this.. If this is the case probably nothing you can do :/

i c this kinda makes sense...the one giving me trouble is on the same side as the hit. you think i could take the fog apart and rebuild it?

its is a very hard process to take theme apart and then even if you do ge5t it apart without chiping and cracking the glass... you cannot touch the reflector on the inside.. It is made of a special material that cannot be cleaned or else it will scratch.. so you can not touch it because it will leave oil spots
