Default STi Motor into an OBS?

Is this practible? Would I end up killing myslf, and if I went standalone, how would I do boost, wipers, etc..?

obs impreza or legacy? i-speed did a swap in to an OBS I dont see what would be so different swaping an ej20 in a obs compared to a non OBS

Default it can be done...

You have to have the COMPLETE wiring harness to match the motor, and the crossmember for the engine bay. You can probably run your tranny but would have to upgrade the clutch.

Oh yeah, be prepared to shell out at least $8,000 for the complete swap. Mine has topped $10,000

If you're talking about the USDM STi (2.5L), that motor uses a fly-by-wire throttle, so you'll need to accomodate for that. I'm not too sure on the details of what you'll need though. You will probably need the STi pedal assembly, or there might even be a relay or microcontroller for it, if you're unlucky.


If you're talking about the JDM STi setup (2.0L), this shouldn't be an issue.
