Please review my logs
Hey, I'm new to all this OS Tuning and would like someone to take a look at my logs. I just ditched my Cobb, tried to get a protune which was horrible, so now I got a tactrix and am attempting to get it done myself. I used Mater2192's (R.I.P.) 04 WRX Stage 2 map off of osecuroms. My mods are as follows:
Uppipe Catted DP Catback K&N Typhoon Samco I/C hoses 50/50 BOV Adjusted WG arm ACT Steetlite FW It was about 45 degrees this morning when I did these on my way to work. Please review and let me know what you think. I'm a little worried about the 101% IDCs at high rpm but I know they're not running static. Please reply. Thanks - Rich HTML Code:

It seems like my intake is throwing off my K&N Typhoone short ram is throwing off the MAF. Does anyone know how to tune for this intake?

Start by using the MAF tab on romraider and drive around for a good while. It is a great way to scale in your MAF.
Also your Turbo Dynamics seem to be off a bit. |

From what I have heard from other s the K&N generally needs to increase your MAF numbers. (They like to make HP numbers with there intake by leaning out and advancing timing through MAF manipulation) This would not explain your high IDC numbers. The one thing I recommend is to clean your MAF. I have seen dirty MAF's cause cars to run rich and lean. It is always due to the use of a oiled air filter. If you ever run a oiled air filter try to clean it at every oil change.
Just remember to clean the MAF and not the IAT sensor. Both sensors are on the MAF sensor and the MAF is the one hidden in the tube not the big obvious one,That one is the IAT. |

maybe log different parameters to give a better idea of whether anything is going wrong and all is ok
Try the following (with laptop connected to your car): 1. Download the Learning View Tool (HERE), extract it and open it. 2. Choose the correct com port for your openport cable 3. Select "Connect", then "Update" and finally "Save" and save the Learning View Tool's csv file somewhere you'll find it. 4. Open RomRaider Logger (if you don't have the latest release of RomRaider, rc4, then uninstall your current version, delect the romraider folder, and reinstall the rc4). 5. In RomRaider, select the correct com port for your openport cable, select "dashboard" tab and then do a 3rd gear 2000-redline log with the following parameters (if at any point you spot something dangerous, ie lots of knock etc, then stop the log): AFR Sensor #1 (or WB02 if you have one) Engine Load Direct Engine Speed Feedback Knock Correction Fine Learning Knock Correction Throttle Mass Airflow Injector Duty Cycle 6. After the log, in RomRaider, click the red cross to disconnect from the ecu 7. Open the Learning View Tool and select "Update" and then "Save" and save the Learning View Tool's csv file again. 8. Post a link to the 2 Learning View Tool csv files and the 3rd gear 2000-redline log csv file in here. The info in those three files will be more helpful Last edited by wrxsti.l; 10-27-2008 at 04:20 AM. |

Basically (and I mean very basic):
Feedback Knock Correction = knock that has just occurred and as a result timing is pulled Fine Learning Knock Correction = corrections based on knock that are stored (learnt) and then applied to where the knock was occurring (load and rpm range). For details information about Subaru's knock control strategy, please read THIS thread. |
