I doubt a dealer when to the trouble of federalizing it.

It'd be a fun car for sure but not $30k fun. I'd rather have an EVO X.

That car is not federalized! It does not have a VIN number and it is not worth $30K. You can get the same thing from Canada for about half that.

There's much more to "federalizing" a car than just getting a VIN #.

Crash/emissions standards come to mine.

This car is not legal to have here, a Canadian title will not transfer if the car was not originally avlable in North American markets (Canada/US/Mexico).

Rumor is that Autobarn is getting the IL title soon (next week?). I'd just be concerned that even though it's titled in IL that the EPA/DOT could confiscate it and crush it.

I thought the R32s WERE legal to import to the US, or was that the R33. There was ONE generation of GTRs that motorex actually legalized properly, IIRC.

The R33's are what you are thinking of, but there are quite a few R32's that are motorex legalized here in the states.

Sadly the one being discussed is not one of them.

The autobarn ad lists it as having the RB26, but the r32 originally came with the RB25 so either they are mistaken or this car does not have the original engine.

For that price you are almost half-way there on a new GTR.. Minus dealer mark-up.
