I just went on their site www.qwikvalve.com and it states for 2012 Impreza the part is F105 for the Fomoto valve and there is a F105 N that allows a tube to be connected as an option- which is correct the F105 or the F108?

i think it was confirmed by Zeeper that he installed a F108N on his Impreza.

F108N is on my car -- if the F105 is a different size it will not fit.

Use the 'search this thread' feature because this is on the site already -- I even posted pics of my install.

FYI the N style is optional, it allows you to install a tube to drain the oil. You could get the F108 -- but why not pony up the big bucks to make it easier to keep everything clean every time you change the oil?

Excellent. i just bought and downloaded it. definitely work the $16 even without having really used it yet.

interestingly, in my skimming, i can see that there is reference to the nonexistent rear camera. not sure i'll do the project found elsewhere on NASIOC but curious that they didn't offer it as an option from the factory. maybe that will be there for the 2013 model

it's available in JDM; the accessories PDF from subaru.co.jp for 2012 Impreza (called G4/Sport in JDM) contains option for either CMOS or CCD camera, as well as backup sensors. The MFD with LCD can be used to display the the image from the camera and information from the backup sensors.

cool. i do know the backup camera could work with the limited (non-navi) HU, and some people have hooked up generic cameras to it. i may have to look closely through the manual to see if there is an easy path for putting the wiring...

also can finally see the jack plate just behind the oil drain plug. not sure if my floor jack (not a particularly low profile one) will reach all the way back there...but if it does, that may be one piece of my puzzle of changing oil. (i also need to figure out the pinch welds and see if my jack stands will work well enough without them bending)

anyone know the difference between the premium radio in the impreza vs the one in the forester. the only thing I can see is a "sat" button. might make for a cheap alternative to get built in XM

That's odd that they would have the wrong part number listed for the 2012 Impreza. Not saying I don't believe you, but its just weird.

It is a brand new engine, so the size of many things may be different from last years. That site you are looking at was showing the same information when I bought my Fumoto (I ended up buying on ebay).

My guess is the last generation of impreza's used the F105 -- but if not no one needs to correct me because I don't care what previous impreza's had for oil drain plugs.

Someone here measured and figured out the correct Fumoto part # and shared it with me, I've since confirmed it (see pictures on this thread after you search for them).

Ignore their site, it is wrong. If you are a humanitarian, you could email them to tell them that their info is wrong so they can correct it.

I hooked up a Sirius tuner from a 2011 Forester to my 2012 Impreza stereo and it did not work.

good to know, i wonder if the base radio (with SAT) on the forester has the same audio quality as the impreza. looks to be pretty much the same radio.

Nice upgrade! You'll def be happy with those seats. Did you pick it up from dealer stock or have to order?

Edit: Nevermind. 79letour is the one with the squeaky seats. My bad.

wow congrats. i wish i could have justified buying one instead of the sport impreza. i already have a garage queen sports car.

speaking of my garage queen. when i was driving my modified honda s2000, i remembered someone wrote that the 2012 handles just as well as his STI and it takes corners flat very well. well if that is true, i am glad i never bought a STI. my s2000 handles millions times better than the impreza and i have stock suspension.

The WRX was only a couple of bucks more a month than the Impreza, I could not pass it up, especially after the '12 Impreza 2.0i DGM car we test-drove ALSO had an airbag light on! Sigh.

Here it is--
