Richard, the schematic for the PWI-1 indicates the filter (Aquamist pn806257) "below water level," yet its location appears above the tank.
Is this a contradiction or a limitation of the drawing?

Jeff

I mounted the brain or controller in the cab. I have a Forester pocket under my after market stereo. I drilled a couple of holes and ran the wires into there.

The drawing is not to scale nor correctly orientated. The less air is trapped in the filter the better. Below the minimum water level can solve this.

Richard

Being careful and moving slow, 2-4 depending on your tools and abilities.

do you have the pump still in the IC sprayer tank? Just wired it to the main pump control?

So is it okay to mount the pump in this location and use the IC sprayer tank that comes standard on the STI? I thought this had to be mounted below the tank?

As long as you use a primer pump it's OK to mount it above the tank. The Perrin kit has the ability to run a primer pump built in. If you use the factory intercooler spray tank just use the factory pump. If you get a spec C tank like I did it also has it's own pump.

no it triggers a fault and shuts off your boost solenoid so you only have waste gate pressure.

Check out this thread for a complete walkthrough (you may have to register to see the pics). I installed it in my ashtray and it fits perfectly.

Never tuned the car with new turbo w/o alky, just a basic "get you by" tune in case of a failure.

Gains would be about the same as any alky kit, just maybe a little better then some due to the IDC controlled injection rate.

Maybe 35 hp.

I have read that the perrin kit can change from 1 to 100 ***37; duty in 10ms. how does it compare with a aquamist 2D hsv reaction speed ? any figures for this last one ?

about that dash display, I have seen silver paint and black unit. what is the latest production color ?

couple pics of my setup.

http://sutternow.com/pics/lgt/perrin_wi/index.html

However, I need more flow.
How much will an accumulator alone add anything to a setup with the 1.0 nozzle?
e.g.
http://www.urdusa.com/product_info.p...s_id=124806410

Has anyone added an priming pump to this setup?? Anyone have any pics / diagrams?

Does anything else need to be purchased besides this-->

Actually, I netted 47.3HP and 43.1TQ, not that a few hp or tq make that much of a diff, but I did pass my 400/400 goal.

In case anyone is interested.
