2012 Hatch - THE PEARL
Just want to share my quick story here to inspire*others.Pics below and you can also follow me on you youtube channel with videos if the build,*POV and other:**https://www.youtube.com/c/Pete717
Always been a huge fan of 2012-2014 WRX Hatchback.I remember when they just came out, my coworker went and got white pearl one, that was the only one available*on the lot, they were going*fast, from that time on I was like, man, one day I will get one.10 years later (last year) I was scrolling through facebook marketplace and I saw one for sale, rough shape, blown motor, but the soulis there, 2012 Premium*WRX in original*pearl color, WOW, I counter money and I went to buy it.180K original miles, 2nd blown motor, this time motor blew 1K miles after rebuild, guy lost all interest and wanted out of his driveway.$4500 later I am driving home with a huge smile on my face and the car on the trailer behind me.She was sitting in the garage for about 3-4 months, I was deciding how to go about it, what I want to do and how much it's going to cost. After putting numbers together I was a little bit scared. I don't*like to half ass stuff and to get it done right I was looking at the hefty number $ and I did not want to make this 3 year project or I will lose all interest in it, I wanted to wrap this up in 2 months, 3 max.So, after thinking about it and consulting with my friends*I decided not to invest $25K in to 10year old car* and I listed for sale, 2 days later I have guy driving my way with cash to pick it up, I told my wife that someone is coming to get it, and she got me schooled, she says, are you crazy? you always wanted one, you got it in the garage, get your ass up and go get it done, I had to call that guy, cancel the sale and I got to work.I don't want this to be a book so I am going to get down straight to the point.ENGINE.2014 STI motor, 95K miles at the time of purchase.6 speed 2007 STI 6 speed trans TY856WW7MA with R160 rear diff converted to match 1.10 ratio and STI drive shaft INTERNALS.
