Page 2 at the bottom has the list with usernames, PM or search with their usernames for mod lists.

It takes a lot to get into the 12s with a stock turbo and many feel it's money wasted. Even though it's the stock turbo, gettting enough power to run 12s is still not good news for your tranny. If I didn't suck at drag racing, I think I would be on the list too. My mods.

While I admire your moxie, your wants are a bit of a contradiction in terms. An awesome street car and wanting to be as fast as you can get on a stock tranny are counterproductive terms. Once you hit 300WHP, the days of your tranny are pretty much numbered. Once you hit 400WHP, the days of your motor are pretty much numbered. Neither of these figures are written in stone mind you, but there is a compromise to be had. If you are looking for a nice street car, stick to around 300WHP (Stage 4/VF or 30/34 power levels). If you want to run with the big dogs, and go over that, you WILL bust your tranny.

You can get into the low 12's on the stock 2.0L and tranny. If you spray some nitrous ontop of say a vf22,vf30,vf34 with a decent clutch and a good driver you can get high 11's. Dont expect the tranny to last very long though. If you want to be realiable and cheap dont go over 300whp you can do a stage 4 setup with a street/strip clutch and be pretty set. This setup can still get you into mid-high 12's.

Just my .02

ok well my goal is low 12s high 11s so i guess a new tranny is in my future. but those numbers are possible in the usdm 2.0 though right?

if you wanted to do that, you should've gotten an sti. You'll be spending more to get low 12's with a wrx than paying more for an sti and modding that. Well, reliably that is

more money than if you went with an sti????...i guess that depends on where your standing..... i payed 235xx for my wrx and its almost 13.0 with just exhaust and an ecu tune which is faster than most sti's stock b/c subaru owners usually can't drive......500 for ecu plus 650 for used full tb exhaust....ill even throw in a blown tranny for ya 3,500 (new stock) and you can launch it like you stole it...all can be had for less than 30k ....minus not having that avcs that anyone can tune right... from where i sit, im still financially better off.....

Point being is that you can slap on a Green, UTEC, and downpipe on an STi and run 350whp conservatively with no problems without touching the drivetrain.

Even if the wrx is a bit cheaper after the whole ordeal, the sti is going to last longer, have the 6mt, r180 rear end, etc.

there is a big difference from low 12's to low 13's. you can throw in that 3500 for the tranny, but what you goig to throw in for the motor to last for consistent low 12's.Plus you get bigger brakes, better suspension, hids, and everything that an sti has over a wrx

If you you look on scoobymile.com Dan Bijalis, [email protected], was on the stock engine and transmission. That was with a FP Green (or maybe Red) on race gas, no nitrous.

I think it was with a VF22 or pe18xx and a 50-75 wet shot......at least doing the math, thats what it would probably take to hit 11.8 ish.

Someone in Florida did an 11.6 with a PE1820 and a 25 shot on the stock motor and tranny. I'll try and dig up the thread.

ok ive been reading tons the past few days and thinkin about going with an fp green or superzilla on ej205 (im not too woried about lag) and stock gears untill they go then upgrading them. im still a little confused with oil coolede only though and a few other questions:

i know there is a stock oil cooler will that work?
turbo timer would seem to be a given.
does this seem to big? maybe a 18g... instead?
