2015 STI Grill Debadge Help
Do I have to pop the grill off to debadge the front of my 2015 STI? I've been trying to figure out a way to get behind there to look at how it's attached without taking everything apart. Has anyone else already done this?

I'm not usually one to be annoying and bump my own thread, but has anyone else debadged their STI grill? this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Taking the front bumper is not too difficult. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jHocqtDqSNI
The badge is secured by 2 screws behind the grille. See this picture |

I've seen that video, while not "difficult", that is a lot of work just to take a badge off. Kind of disappointing there's no other way to access the back of the grill.

I just want to get rid of the STI badge on the front, keeping the Suby logo.

Not a lot of work at all. Took me 5 minutes. There is no reason for the back of the grille to be "accessible". You don't even have to remove the front bumper completely if you want to de-badge it.

I traded trunks with a WRX owner to get rid of the wing and he had already de-badged it. However I have de-badged other cars in the past and it's really easy. Just heat up the badge with a hair dryer, set on low so you don't screw up your paint, and peel it off. If there's any adhesive residue left over use WD-40 or goof off to remove it.

The STi badge on the front grille is two pieces connected with two screws. No way to get at the screws from the front, so you'll need to remove the bumper at least partially. Alternatively, if you don't care about saving the badge you could probably cut it off pretty easily with a dremel.

Kinda unrelated but is the rear trunk Subaru logo badge easy to remove? Will it leave an indention if I remove it and is it connected by bolts like on the hawkeyes? I'm considering removing it but I'm not sure of the outcome.

I believe the Subaru badge is bolted through the trunk. Even if it's not, it will leave an indentation if you remove it. Personally I think the car looks TOO plain and generic without the center Subaru badge, but I like to remove the rest of them.

don't think so should be pretty easy, get a heat gun to lossen the adhesive and should pop off without too much trouble
