Question replace oil pump at 117,000mi.?

I am going to replace the timing belt and the timing belt tensioner adjuster on my 97 OBS(ej22-mt). While I'm in there I plan on replacing the water pump,t-stat,cam seals, and the oil pump seal and o-ring.
My question is would you replace the oil pump or inspect and reinstall?

Are you having an issue with oil pressure? I would probably inspect/reinstall.

Theres no need to replace the pump unless you are having an issue with it, just get a new seal clean it up and reinstall it.

thanks for the quick reply

No issues with oil pressure that i'm aware of.
I found the inspection specs for the oil pump-tip,case,and side clearance.
If its within spec it looks like I just might have saved $100

Default oil pump

I just helped a fellow the other day with his oil pump. Most issues with the oil pump are from the screws in the back coming loose. Just take them out, apply loc-tite, and tighten with a big handled phillip screwdriver.

Oil pumps aren't usually replaced unless the housing is cracked.
