Unfortunately, I got rid of the roof rack to someone locally. I have just plain OEM crossbars plastidipped black just for aesthetics.

Yesterday I installed my new Drawtite hitch. I'm going hitch mounted bike rack and ski rack from now on.

Is it just the lighting in this pic or do you have rain guards as well the window mounted rack?

Easy. But I highly recommend NOT getting it. Go with another company.

This light bar mounts like **** and is poorly constructed.

Yea I settled with them because it was free but I can't stand them. They are wide and flat, and most of front and rear window has a slight arch, so I find it hard to get a good gap between crossbars for a comfortable support of my bike

You could look into modifying them and using the stock brackets under the gutters. The q-towers then sit more inward. Do a search for modifying the q-clips and you will see what I mean. I gave up on carrying my bike on the roof, I have a hitch mounted rack for that now. No longer am I taking off the front wheel.

Still need to pick up a set of OEM aero bars to mount it, but picked up this basket on sale for $100.

What's everyone think of this?

http://www.discountramps.com/rooftop-cargo-rack.htm

Cheap alternative to the yakima basketcase. Size wise this measures up to be a better fit on my hatch with oem cross bars.

It looks very shallow. Doesn't look like much of a basket.

It actually looks beefier than the Yakima Basketcase.

That's what I'm looking for because the oem racks are tall as is. Just looking to haul around some camping gear. Maybe a cooler or two.

I thought the same thing. Never herd of that web site before. 100$ shipped is way better than the yakima as long as there's nothing I'm missing about said company or brand.

Anybody ever have the oem rack totally wreck the paint on their roof? Just took mine off on my new 13 and it left some really bad marks. I always clean both things before I put them on. Never had it happen on any other car like this before.

You didn't use the lamin-X protection vinyl did you?

Rain+dirt+tree sap+ pollen. It's bound to happen. And the crossbar mounts have jagged edges.

Take some polish and a buffer and go to town. Hopefully that will help. Then get some 3m or Lamin-x vinyls.

I did not, I've never had to use it on any other car. Was thinking on wrapping the roof, so maybe this will be reason enough. Still have to deal with fixing it though. I'll check out that stuff, thanks

Yup. Not totally wreck, but there is definitely an outline of the rack base that is permanently on the car. I don't really mind it, I've gotten used to how terrible our paint is
