News 2010 Buick LaCrosse Breaks Cover (but its still covered)

Brenda Priddy’s team of spy shooters comes through with another set of crystal-clear images of a future Buick.
This 2010 Buick LaCrosse shows some significant changes up front with an all-new grille and a slightly more aggressive front fascia. The lower portion of the doors and rockers now have a bit more panache than the 2008 model, but still look conservative enough to keep Buick’s core supporters happy.
The 2010 Buick LaCrosse will ride on the new global epsilon II platform for front-drive vehicles and carries a code name of GMX353. Production is expected to begin at General Motors’ Fairfax assembly plant in February of 2009 and vehicles should arrive at dealerships shortly thereafter. Annual production should be between 65,000 and 75,000 units.

2010 Buick LaCrosse!!

These are the newest pictures of the 2010 Buick LaCrosse and like before - General Motors had two security guards for round-the-clock coverage in a public parking areas. When the engineers left for a break, thick car covers with huge locks were placed on the camouflaged prototypes and the security folks sprung to action, intimidating even the most innocent pedestrians with their watchful eyes.
Codenamed GMX353, this second generation LaCrosse will be riding on the new (global) front-wheel-drive Epsilon II platform. It will be the first car in the United States to use this architecture.
Production is expected to start at the Fairfax facility in February of 2009, reaching dealerships shortly afterwards as a 2010 model. Annual production numbers in the 65-75K range are expected.

The 2010 Buick LaCrosse appears to have some Enclave-like styling cues -- especially on the rear doors and fenders. This second-generation LaCrosse will be riding on the new (global) front-wheel-drive Epsilon II platform. Production is expected to start at the Fairfax facility in February 2009, reaching dealerships shortly afterward as a 2010 model.

Nice C pillar. Looks like buick is also copying that area off of the 5-series/Maxima/Accord/HyundaiGenesis

I look forward to renting this POS in a few years.

It's not breaking cover, if it still has a cover.

If it does indeed have Enclave-like features, this could be cone handsome sedan. The Enclave is one hell of a nice looking crossover.

Still though, the thread title should definitely not include "breaks cover" since it is quite heavily camo'ed.

"Buick's core supporters" purchase only one Buick before they pass away. Why do they care what their existing customer base thinks of it?

I'm not kidding, the average age of a Buick car buyer over the past couple years has been something crazy like 68 or 71. You're not going to get much repeat business from them...

This has quite a bit of the grill from the Riviera concept they showed in China last year:

I think I am going to have to go ahead and disagree. I don't think it looks like the Riviera grill at all.

edit: I'm going to have to add that it doesn't even come close.

Flip it over. It has the huge wide-spaced (mostly) vertical slats and the giant logo. Yes, the shape is different.

I guess I just don't think it looks any different (through the cover) than any other Buick that are out right now.

http://www.buick.com/ for reference.
