Exclamation I e-diddle your minds to get your creative juices flowing: need "trophy" ideas, quick

Going white water rafting this weekend, and I want to give one of the guys a kind of "close call" trophy for getting dumped out of the raft and needing to be rescued with a bag rope. I want it to be durable enough to pass around year after year (like a "Final Destination Stanley's Cup").

Sadly, I didn't think about this until four days before we leave, so I need something I can put together quickly and easily (and hopefully not break the bank). It can look a ghetto, but it should look deliberately so.

Flood this thread with your creative juices! I want them to run down my chin! I want to rub the MS Paint depictions of your ideas all over my naked, oiled body! OH GOD! STICK IT IN!

A donut on a string (red vines = crazy delicious). Person who damages it has to eat it.

No one give him any ideas.

None.

Zero.

That is until he tells his mold idea story or those other couple threads where he asked us for ideas and he didn't complete them.

Go to a metal shop and have them weld a 2" peice of rebar to a piece (or two) of plate iron and have them cut the iron to look like the blade and handle of a paddle. Then have them cut out TEH WIN on the blade with their torch.

There you go, the Iron Paddle award.

I take paypal.

Operation Mold & Mildoom is currently underway! It's currently in "wait for it... wait for it..." mode!

I'm sending you a PM with details so that you can vouch for its awesomeness.

Most simple yet pratical idea: A life preserver, then run w/it. An inflatable rubber ducky preserver. Whatever you choose, bronze it, and make sure it doesn't float

The wife of one of our friends made one for us a couple of years ago for our Decathalon. It was a bathroom trash can with two handles from Home Depot screwed to the sides, spray painted gold with black sticker letters...it looks awesome ghetto fabulous...

Yeah, a solid bronze life preserver. That sounds cheap & portable.

So... you haven't gone rafting yet, but you know he's going to get dumped out of the raft and need to be rescued with the rope?
How do you know that?
What are you planning?

It's an annual trip. His close call was last year

It will then be up to him to decide who gets it next year.

Mold idea is fantastic. I take back my prior comment.

Go to a toy store and buy a toy raft. Fill the raft with lead so it absolutely will not float.

That's too bad. I was hoping it was something far more sinister.

I want something that can be personalized with the recipient's name. I can get a brass plate (1" x 4") engraved from things remembered that I could attach a la dog tags. So keep the ideas for things to attatch them to coming!

Has this already happened? Ie. did the person already fall out and you are wanting to bring the trophy with you to this upcoming event or is this for whomever falls on this trip? What if everyone gets dumped over?
