Cobb VF39 Map Vs. PDX
Right now Im running PDX mail order maps on my stage 2 setup. I have a vf39 and fuel pump right now, with an STI intercooler hopefully soon. I just wanted to see what peoples opinions were on the Cobb OTS maps for the vf39. I just want to see if I should drop the extra 150 for the PDX maps.

injectors with the OTS vf39 93 octane map and it pulls really hard compared to stage 2. I'm hitting target boost and love the power. I'm eventually getting a pro tune so I'm not interested in spending $150 of my protune money on a mail order map even though PDX tunes have a great rep. Try the OTS map first. It's free and if you don't like it go PDX. I didn't see pinks in your mod list? They are required for their maps. A fuel pump is not needed but recommended. |

Injectors aren't neccesary on the 06-07's because we have similar flowing injectors as the sti.
The car definately pulls a whole lot harder all the way to redline, but I really want to get some PDX maps or a protune. |

when i had the vf39, the cobb ots map worked really well so i didnt see the need to pay an extra 150 for a pdx map. i was also adding a few more mods so a protune was best for me.

the PDX maps are great, much smoother power curves.

I can see where the ots map needs some "smoothing out." Mine seems
to stutter a little during spirited acceleration. It pulls smooth if I flat foot it or take it easy. |
