Default List of Parts for Koni Inserts, Prodrive Springs, and STi Upper Mount Install

Hi All,

I'm attempting to gather all the parts I need to assemble the Koni Inserts, Prodrive Springs, and STi Upper Mounts. Here's the list I have so far:

-Stock Struts for cutting on
-Koni Inserts
-Prodrive Springs
-STi Upper Mounts

After reviewing the lowering spring install instructions at Deepstage, I was wondering if the STi Upper Mounts had all the hardware that I need. For instance, do the STi Upper Mounts come with the black ring on top of the springs shown in the picture below?

Also, do the STi upper mounts contain all the peices shown here?

Do they come with the 17mm nut that bolts everything together?

Basically, will I need to obtain stock parts other than the struts to complete the assembly?

Thanks for the help,
Eric

All that kind of stuff is moved over from the stock strus, springs and strut mounts.

You move the hardware over from your stock hardware or you buy new stuff from the dealer, which they, in all likelihood will not have in stock.

You can look here for all the little bits and pieces that go into the struts, springs and tops:

the Koni's include new lock nuts for fastening the strut tops to the koni shafts.

New top mounts are *only* the top mounts. If you want that misc stuff such as the front upper spring perch, rubber spring perch pad and conical washer, you'll need to obtain them from the dealer or extras. I have extra perches and pads if you want them, but you should also have them from your stock strut assemblies, unless you chose not to dissassemble them or sell them outright. The rear GD* strut top mounts have the upper spring perches built in, so they are not a separate part.

Make sure you have the right tools handy.

the KOni strut top nut is going to be 19MM, and you'll need a small 9 mm socket to fit through the 19MM to keep the strut shaft from spinning so you can torque it. .

Torque wrench, some loctite for the bolt in the bottom of the strut. good drill and bits, 8MM hex socket, and a vice clamped down to a workbench. Also a funnel and plastic jug to collect the old strut oil

Also, if you have something better than a hacksaw to cut through the struts, it will be much easier. It's not hard to get through them but it takes a while to go through 4 of them !
