fuel pressure regulator and stock injectors?
okay, what if i up the fuel pressure on the stock injectors. would i be able to run a bigger turbo? i was thinking of doing the free fuel pressure regulator upgrade thingy, however, what effect will this have if i keep the stock injectors. say i get a VF30, could i run it off the stock injectors + higher fuel pressure? any suggestions?

I wouldn't risk the integrity of the car with those upgrades when you can modify the stock injectors to flow 720cc for free. Do the injector mod, get a fuel pump and leave the FPR alone. You do have engine management right?

clamdip, you can run a VF30 on the stock injectors with NO fuel system mods. you just need a REALLY GOOD tuner.

those numbers are from Delta Dash, so yeah, I know they're lower than what an EGT gauge would read if tapped into the exhaust manifold.
the point is that the car is tuned around the stock fueling. i know it's not making it's full potential (but still a huge improvement over stock), probably not even close to what it could do with upgrading the fuel, but it's a work in progress, and it can be done. p.s. sorry for hijacking your thread Clamdip. |

VF30 @ 18psi on pump gas Stock WRX injectors with no mods to them Max 90% IDC Please tell us what you haven't told us yet. Like... that you're running water injection or something. |

cool, thanks for the replies guys! yeah, i heard that you can run the VF30 on the stock fuel system, however, your IDC's will be a bit high. also, about the "free mod" for stock injectors, i would need some type of tune for that. i guess i just have to buy STi injectors. thanks again guys.

You will need a tune for either the stock modded injectors or STi injectors, dont think you can plop them on the car and have it run OK.
