Default New Shop in MA...now with pics!

Hey everyone,

We just wanted to officially introduce ourselves for those who don't know us already. We are a new performance shop in South Easton, MA that specializes in the sale of new/used aftermarket and OEM Subaru parts. We also just registered as vendor here on NASIOC. Basically, we are just a group of enthusiasts and active NASIOC members that decided to form a shop focused on the actual needs of Subaru Enthusiasts. Although we are still very new, we have big plans, high expectations, and hope to build an ongoing relationship with NESIC, NASIOC and the rest of the growing Subaru community.

-The Simmons Motorsports Team

The website should be up within a few days and we will definitely be planning a meet once we are a little more set up.

+1 It's great to have a shop run by a group of people nearby to supply used Subaru parts to our community. I know my car has a lot of used STi parts and accessories installed on it!

Speaking of my car, it's being stored there and may or may not be on display for customers

Awesome, welcome to the neighborhood, you're not too far from me. Do you guys do service or just sell parts? Also, do you take Subarubucks?

They did my timing belt today. Couldn't be happier! I highly recommend them. Turns out my exhaust valves were a tooth off. They give the quality and expertise you want with a high performance vehicle.

Great guys. Picked up my STI alternator from them after they took the time to answer my questions on a future hybrid build.

Wouldn't stop me from using their services if they weren't certified.

Doesn't take much to get ASE certified, I personally do not feel that being certified makes you a better mechanic, or vouches for much car knowledge in general.

I once watched my neighbor, who is ASE certified, drain his tranny fluid, then proceed to grossly overfill his motor oil.

i hear you. dealers break cars all the time. my maintenance background was with Army Small Engines (Generators, Water Pumps, Pressure Washers, HVAC units)

i trust ASE and i am against any form of Government Mandated Licensing.. the market will speak for itself.

i just like to establish a baseline. i consider myself an "enthusiast" as well. but i would never work on someone else' car at a shop. in my driveway? sure, you get what you pay for (bring me beer - LOL)

but a shop, i want to see a minimum level of measurable competency, not just billy bob who's been turning wrenches on him and his buddies subies on the weekends.

-that's the only reason i asked. curiosity. if i go somewhere and feel like i pulled into a Jiffy Lube (aka Pot Head with a nose ring and orange hair)... i'm out. not touching my car dude.

i've had problems with both independents and dealer service departments so i agree.
