Default Zeal...WHOA!!! AMAZING PRICES!!!

With the new line of Zeal Coilovers out, we must get rid of the old stock!
We are taking this opportunity to extend the savings on to you.
Zeal Clearance sale... Limited Quantities for WRX/STI/Legacy GT!!!!

Legacy BP5, Zeal Function Xs (8kg front and 6kg rear) (2 sets left) $1975 (plus shipping)

With advanced damping capabilities in effect, our efforts have recently focused towards our new “X-Coil Hyper Spring”. Through consistent and progressive research and experience, we’ve improved spring quality to achieve an even smoother and more responsive feel and ride. The ability to grasp precise road data has improved. Our Dynamometer Data proves this with stable rebound and compression levels (within a 0.1 Meter Per Second range) for level travel at very low speeds, very high speeds, and everything in between. Our Linear Spring Motion with no Friction Loss is superior and the shock can be adjusted very precisely (Function-X includes 30-Way Damping Adjustability), thus the setting levels have broadened and can be fine-tuned with advanced precision and feel. Lightweight aluminum upper mounts, spring seat preload and spring seat locks, height-adjustable lower brackets and lock seats (for non-strut type applications) include a durable, Alumite finish for rust proof characteristics. Steel shell casing includes a special chromate plating for rust proof characteristics also. Adjustable brackets are newly designed and slender. Driving feel is amazing for the hard-user. MacPherson Strut-Type systems are specifically produced as an inverted-monotube type.

GDB Impreza, Zeal Super Function R (double adjustable remote reservoir) 04 down (one set) $3950 (plus shipping)

Black and blue with a super lightweight aluminum body and lightweight SWIFT springs, this is the ultimate flagship Function Series model. This shock includes independent rebound & compression dampening adjustability and includes a remote reservoir. Settings are made with the hard-user using semi-slick tires in mind. Circuit spec, aluminum DIV free piston stabilizes damping levels as well as increases life. Pillow ball mounts included. Spring rates are exclusive.

GDB-E (05+) STi, Zeal Function V6-ST (8kg front and 6kg rear) (one set) $2400 (plus shipping)
Legacy BP5, Zeal Function V6-HD (10kg front and 8kg rear) (one set) $2000 (plus shipping)

This steel-type, inverted-monotube type shock absorber is produced for specific vehicles with strut-type suspension. The shock absorber for this type of set up takes great abuse, thus side load attributes must be strengthened. An inverted monotube with a Friction-Loss Cylinder was developed for this matter. While using the Function Series' technology, we've produced the new Zeal model for high performance driving. The nitrogen gas camber is positioned higher up and farther away from the braking area creating less heat transfer and thus, less chance for overheating. Also, under-spring weight is now lighter enabling handling to become sharper, quicker, and more responsive. Our easy-to-read and use, 6-Way Piston Valve Shock (PVS) Dial mechanism adjusts the rebound/compression force with its Piston Valve Shock Technology, Level 1 being the softest and Level 6 being the stiffest. Dial can be turned either direction infinitely. Pillow Ball camber adjustable upper mounts for direct feel of suspension motion help to decrease piston rod tension. ID60 Basic Spring (Street or Hard rates) maintains stroke and ensures a "seated" fit with upper and lower portions processed to a flat cut. The Adjustable Shock-Stroke System is a separate, adjustable lower cup/bracket used for height adjustability which eliminates problem of sacrificing stroke and altering spring tension. Spin the mechanism over the threaded shock casing up to lower (and down to raise) vehicle height. All Zeal Function Series systems include this height-adjustable system.

KW Coilover suspensions are manufactured for a large number of vehicles, and are sold all around the world. The initials KW, and the trademark colors of yellow and purple, stand for individuality, quality and security.

Security on many levels: During manufacturing of KW Coilover suspensions, the highest quality materials are used to produce individual suspension solutions that enable customers to adjust vehicle height according to their wishes and needs. Within the TÜV-tested adjustment parameters, this can be easily achieved using the purple-colored aluminum spring collars by adjusting the position of the yellow coated springs upwards or downwards via a specially designed exterior thread. In doing so, the vehicle height can be precisely adjusted, and customers receive exactly the result they want and/or need. The stainless steel strut housings are fitted the specific vehicle, and are available in three different damping technologies. With this variety, KW Coilover suspensions in Variants 1, 2 and 3 can meet the exact requirements of every customer. The complete systems including high-quality yellow springs, purple aluminum components and Elastomer bump stops with integrated dust protection system, provide a unique comprehensive solution for a personalized vehicle suspension system that meets all performance and quality demands.

As soon as we took delivery of our new 2006 Legacy Spec B, these are the things we did to make the car more complete.

The Cobb access port gave us the amount of power that the car should have come with from the factory. Increased torque and drivability.

Next we installed the Endless Vita Nuova Pads, which REALLY bring the stock Legacy GT brakes alive with a reduction in brake dust.

And last but not least just as we had on our 2005 Legacy GT, we installed the JDM STI Pink springs, which are now Spec B specific.

The now factory Bilstein struts mated to the STI Pinks are a great improvement over the stock springs.

The simple combination of these three parts really transforms the car into an STI/BMW/Mustang haunter, yet the wife would never know you made any changes at all!

Satisfied

Satisfied Carbon-Ceramic Brake Pads are formulated for ultimate street performance, GS6 Carbon-Ceramic pads provide impressive braking power to match the needs of a more spirited driver. GS6 improves on the stopping power of conventional OE compounds, delivering a stable friction coefficient of 0.38 – 0.42 in a 100 – 700°F operating range.

Swift

Swift’s R&D team created material, called H5S.TW, which was stronger than silicon chrome. It was so resilient that it required 2 rounds of shot peening in order to hold its coil shape and was so strong that it needed thinner wire compared to other manufactures. It also needed fewer coils, which greatly decreased weight while dramatically increasing available stroke.

Myles,

I can't believe I missed this thread. I know I PM'd you a while ago about a suspension setup. I ordered my 06 WRX and I have 6 weeks before arrival. The wait is killing me. Ok, down to business..

Can you tell me about the KW Variant 1's? Any experience? I was considering Koni inserts with some Swift springs (prolly STi springs). What is the drop on the KW's?

Also, the 2005 STi Swift springs are an equal drop front and back. That seems strange to me. Would these springs give me butt sag on a 2006 WRX with the Koni's (if I go this route)? The swifts look NICE!

Thanks! Also.. FREE BUMP FOR MYLES!

I've got KW Variant 1's on my 06 WRX and I really like them. The fit and finish of the coilovers themselves is amazing. The ride quality is pretty good and the handling is awesome. The car is completly flat through the turns while maintaining pretty good ride quality over bumps. It absorbs most things pretty well...my girlfriend gave it her seal of approval which isn't easy to get on most aftermarket parts =)

I suppose NJ roads aren't anything real "smooth" either hey? I want something relatively compliant. Obviously not spongy but it should soak up some bumps and not be bouncy. Perhaps these are the strut/spring combo for me.

NJ roads are pretty sucky! I'd say if you want something compliant then this would be a pretty good set up. It's not overly stiff even when hitting things like expansion joints and big potholes.

The Variant 1s are a very good quality damper. For all the people who buy the popular green coilovers this should be the route for that price point. Ride quality is amazing, very Bilstein like and AST like.

For us , its the new direction we are headed in for suspensions that offer great handling over a wider range of surfaces. More people need that than the 18/16 kg set ups that test your dental work quality.

As for level springs. This approach does work. The quality of the Swift and the performance (IMO) is on par if not better than the Pinks. The Swifts wont give you but sag.

So they respond more like a height adjustable sport strut/spring combo than an actual kidney-bashing coilover?

They have a variable damping quality to them, just as the other Euro brands do, and that works better for alot of people, moreso than say the Autocrossers who like and want Cusco and Zeal, JIC, etc. We sell ALL, but in this category, for regular people, we like the Euro set ups with agressive rates.

Negative private. They do not come with tops. You would need to ask the crunch berries for those. Figure 1 top per Crunchberry........yep, you'd be set.

No, but you could mate them to stock or Group-N tops.

Your Spec-C strut tops are the same USDM tops which suck. So you could get group-n fronts and the rears are not nearly as important.

no the variant 3s do not include top hats or camber plates. One version of the Ohlins do, but they are alot more. THe Whitelines do not include top hats either. For a reduction in noise, you could run stock top hats, but at some point you should at least swap the fronts for group-n top hats.

This might be a dumb question, but what is needed (if anything) to fit the Whiteline Suspension to an 06 WRX wagon?

Thanks

As far as we know the 05 application will fit. I sent an e-mail to whiteline just to double check. They updated us with the 06 WRX but not the wagon. I most likely won't hear back untill next week, but I am pretty sure the 05 will be the same. I will let you know for sure when I hear back.
