So did the 240SX's. I think it was called Super HICAS IIRC

On a side note, I had a guy in a 93' Supra with a single T78 set up tell me my car was slow....I agreed and carried on.

I hate when people rub it in

I've always liked the vr-4's. If it wasn't a Mitsubishi motor I would think about getting one but it would probably have more problems then my car, lol.

This is why I love the vr-4's. A lot of people have probably seen this before though.

Still an insane launch!

When I first got my 02 I didn't know any better, so I called autozone and asked

"Do you have a pcv valve for a 02 wrx?" it sounded like the guy was in his 30s. he said let me check, put me on hold for a few minutes and then came back and said "does that car go by any other names? I can't find it in my system"

The car is in their system as an Impreza with a 2.0L turbo engine. I don't see where you're going with this post.

Yeah, my dad owns one. It's a package offered on ~2002 (mas o menos) Chevy/GMC trucks and SUV's called the quadrasteer system. Does great in snow and mud! Not sure if they have it on the newer models.

What I find funny about this is that, being a 2008 WRX owner, I sometimes confuse the new Corolla with my car, mainly Imprezas since I notice there's no hood scoop, when it's coming from afar. They do kinda look the same if you think about it.

Customer at my work (C)

C: whos WRX is that?
Me: Mine
C: Is it fast??
Me: yea i can get to the speed limit pretty quick
C: got a turbo right?
Me: Yep (at this point I'm utterly astounded. the guy is a regular and is dumber than a box of rocks, and my car has no WRX markings on it anywhere)
C: those are twin turbo right?
Me: (in my head faceplam) nope, just the one.

now i know twin set-up do exist, but to my knowledge are pretty rare. I applaud him on knowing what he did though.

On the other hand I was at a gas station and was walking back out to my car when a superr skinny gangsta looking white dude rolled down the window of his GFs car he was riding in and started asking me about my car. I was scared and braced for the stupidity, as he looked like hes spent more time rolling joints than in a car. but to my surprise he really knew his **** and we had a very pleasant conversation.
Guess people can always surprise you. lol nothing funny there but it caught my attention

Don't judge a book by its flat brim.

Lots of fat people around where you live?

IDK but around here the drivers of SRT8 and 10s are either ridiculously fat or old.

I didn't know there was a thread for this. Awesome.

So my ex-girlfriend talked me into taking the leap and getting a car I really wanted. Found my car at a Jeep dealership of all places for a decent deal. She was very supportive of my choice... until I had the papers in my hands.

"Your STi logos are pink. This has to be the girl edition."

"That hood scoop can't be stock. We should get you a smaller one. It may even increase airflow to the intercooler."

"Your wing isn't stock. It looks like a shopping cart handle. I ran into a guy who has a car just like yours and his spoiler isn't that high and he said his was stock. He said that people commonly raise them and they look stupid."

"Your clutch is going out."

She actually knows a lot about cars (more than me), but she just wanted to hate everything about this one. Well, like I said, ex-girlfriend.

All my gf said was that she needed a change of underwear after a spirited drive along some maintenance roads around here

Woah, woah, woah... you broke up with a girl who was interested in cars and knew her stuff about them? AND she had interest for you? Crazy ... unless she wrecked it or something haha
