Get some dynamat or equivalent product as well. Our doors rattle bad enough as it is...upgraded speakers don't help any.

I was trying sarcasm - maybe I should get more in tune to use of emoticons . . .
Fuzzy picture; it looks sort of like the bare copper is just wound around a push lug terminal. Besides, NEC doesn't apply to vehicle wiring Thanks for clearing that up! John |

You wanna see an install gone wrong? Took off my door panels today to look at a problem with my front right speaker. Previous owner has 6 3/4s in a 6 1/2 adapter. Has wood screws holding the adapter to the door, then wood screws just as long holding the speaker some what to the adapter(doesn't fit). Since he didn't use shorter screws for the speaker, they were pulling the adapter from the door. Didn't predrill holes either so the plastic adapter was all cracked. The wires were touching the door frame and shorting out the speaker, so I put electrical tape on it. It was the worst install I've ever seen. I gotta order new adapters, drill the holes before installing, and get 6 1/2s that actually fit so their isn't a huge gap between the speaker and adapter. They aren't free air speakers. Lmao. Kid also installed a Targa amp. Never heard of that brand. Googled it, some super cheap Portuguese or Brazilian company.

Not trying to be an a$$ but if you couldn't handle a simple door speaker installation, you are probably not going to be able to PROPERLY install the sub. I recommend taking it to a pro. Where are you located?
